    7mm Mashburn Super Magnum

Missed this one somehow! I have been playing with the 7mm Mashburn for a couple of years now, you will like it! I have hit a couple of snags along the way but they were brass quality issues and my chronograph dying. I don't have much for velocities yet but I was averaging 3227 with the 160...

    WY Draw ?

If you apply as a party then everybody in the party gets a tag if you are drawn. I don't know about the 15 tags and 39 hunters, I would think that is a typo. I believe the maximum party size is 6, if that is the case then a max of 5 extra tags would be issued. Hope this helps!

    9.3x62

I have been having really good luck with the Privi brass in my Husqvarna 640 in 9,3x62. I have been looking at the Nosler blems but I have a pretty good supply of cases so I can't really justify them. Bob

    How many different handgun types?

I'm a 1911 guy too. I'm not the greatest pistol shooter but I can get by with a few different types. I can shoot revolvers about as well as the 1911 in most cases. The one pistol I have never had much luck with is the Glock, no idea why but I just can't seem to get the hang of it. I am a retired...

    Bolt action handguns

meatmachineman, I had a factory Striker .308 barrel that really loved the 165 grain Ballistic tip and IMR 3031 it would also zip the 125 grain BT out at an average velocity of 2895 fps with excellent accuracy. Sometimes I wish I would have kept it around. Enjoy!

Another great day at the range!

Good on you Guy! I try to invite at least one new pistol shooter every trip to the range.

    Bolt action handguns

Thank you! I have a plan for the bolt face issue, I do need to get rid of that pesky J-lock on the one bolt. I'm seriously considering a barrel nut set up similar to the Savage. I have really come to love these specialty pistols! I love that MOA too! I would love to make the "Cold Turkey"...

    Bolt action handguns

I have flirted with bolt action pistols off and on over the years, my most accurate to date was a Savage Striker I re-barreled to .243 using a cut down Factory Savage rifle barrel. I picked up an XP100 for a new project but it's currently just sitting in the safe as a bare action, going to be...

    Concentricity Gauge

I use the Hornady with good success, typically though I don't have much runout to deal with. I have "pushed" a few bullets .003 or so and never really noticed any degradation of accuracy or velocity. I don't pay any attention to case runout except the neck and I use a micrometer to make sure...

    Range Day 9.3x74R.

A couple more powders to try, IMR 3031 and Reloader 15 have worked pretty well in my 9,3x62. I haven't shot anything big yet but I did shoot a pretty good sized whitetail buck last fall with the Speer 270 grainer, he didn't go far!

    Warranty/Customer service

RCBS- I got a bad seating sleeve in a .308 die set, once I convinced the CS rep that I wasn't stupid she sent a replacement at no charge, got it very quickly. I rate them good, would have rated excellent if the CS rep had not argued and tried to sell me a custom seating stem first. Sightron -...

    It's not all bad.....

I bought 3k WLR primers yesterday, now if Powder Valley would get some more 8# jugs of powder in stock I might make it through the summer. We are pretty much out of primers in this area and down to 1# jugs of powder./ Still got plenty of rimfire ammo last I checked but all the AR stuff is gone.

Again, the "only one rifle" issue?

I have what I believe would make a great "one rifle" and if push came to shove I wouldn't hesitate to use it on whatever critters I happened across. It's an older (1949) Husqvarna 640 chambered in the aforementioned 9,3x62. I shoot it pretty well and have confidence in it to do the job if I do...
