I use that powder in a 100 grain load in the 06, and get a little over 3500 out of it, it's pretty hot though, with 2 different 25-06's it shoots great out of one, but a little to much pressure on the other.
Nosler Accubond
Swift A-frame
Barnes Triple Shock
Nosler Partitons are real good too, but I listed my 3 favorites, as you asked for 3,,,,,,,,,I'm sure someone will prob. chime in on the last two though.
Well about 8:30 that morning 2 came out together about 160 -170 yards and he decided to take one then instead of waiting , so he picked one and put her in the crosshair and fired a shot hitting her low in the hind quarter, he shot again hitting her in the spine, I think he's pulling to the...
A little doe. He's trying to catch up with his big sis, I told him he couldn't do it shooting Bambi and he told me he didn't shoot Bambie because Bambi is a boy, he's proud of it so that makes me proud too.
Her first buck ever, 11 points with a split browtine, only 11.5" wide, but bases are over 5.5", weighed 190 lbs. She shot it at just over 200 yards with a Browning A-bolt medallion .243 with a 95 grain Ballistic Silvertip on top of 40 grains of IMR 4350, shot it at the base of the neck, and it...
I have a set of Lyman dies that worked properly last year, while seating bullets on some fresh rounds for my sons a-bolt I noticed very little resistance if any at all, so I checked it and could pull the bullet or put it in with my fingers, the bullets all mic correct, and I took the resizing...
That's what I was wanting to know, the fastest load I see in Nosler with the 165 is 3242 which is their max, to be able to go beyond their max another 158 fps would seem a little dangerous to me, but like I said I haven't seen any faster data, and figured if there was someone here would know....
I have an SPS and love it for the money, never had any truoble with it or reloading for it, only thing was I had to adjust my trigger down about 7 lbs.
Wanting to know how to get 3400 fps out of this load, anyone know? I think that's a little much out of a 300 weath. with 165's. Someone prove me wrong here.
Bryce Towsley, a gunwriter and experienced hunter, once asked me what I considered to be the best hunting bullet. I have taken several animals, small and large with the 60-grain, .223-caliber Nosler Partition, and I am convinced when you consider its size, it is one of the best bullets ever...
I agree 100%, all i'm saying is that the particular load shoots in his gun without problems, and as long as he's happy, and there's no apparent pressure signs then he will keep shootingm it, like in the last post I showed where in different instances people are loading hotter than his load, one...
