I have a set of Lyman dies that worked properly last year, while seating bullets on some fresh rounds for my sons a-bolt I noticed very little resistance if any at all, so I checked it and could pull the bullet or put it in with my fingers, the bullets all mic correct, and I took the resizing die apart and cleaned it, but to no avail I got same result, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming you're getting the neck of the case all the way up into the neck sizing area of the die...

Is it a different brand of brass? I've found that different makers will often have different brass thickness in the cartridge case. I have a die that does a wonderful job of squeezing down Lapua brass just right. Put Winchester brass in it, and it doesn't size the neck nearly enough. Like you, I can just push the bullet in by hand, wiggle it around and pull it back out easily. Not good.

In my situation though, the die takes different size neck bushings, so I can just buy another, tighter, bushing.

Hope this helps. Guy
