So are you saying I'm a dummy? As far as we are concerned we have used this load in his gun for several years without ever having any trouble, with the same results from the last five fired as we did with 6 boxes of 50 ago, which would be 300 rounds, so i'd say they're pretty consistant, I mean...
What are you exactley refering to sharpsman? Someone else seeing that load and trying it from the start? As far as that 100 gr. load my friend uses, his bolt has never stuck, not once, and mine sure hasn't with the load I use.
I use mag primers in all hunting loads, especially when using slower powders, I work up to the max using the mag primer. The guy I load them for is 48 yrs. old, been shooting deer for nearly 40 of them so I don't argue with him I just load em. I don't use loads that hot myself, when using B.T.'s...
I never said it wasn't a hot load, because it is very hot, I worked up to his guns max, which is what he wanted so that's where were at.....

I load 100 grainers for a buddys 25-06 A- bolt at 3500 fps ( DEVASTATING) wound channel , last year he shot a doe at 140 yds, you could put your head in the hole and look around
Has anyone reloaded any spent brass fron the 45-70 Leverevolutions? A buddy gave me some to reload for him and they are only 2.035" and are supposed to be trimmed to length at 2.095", that's 60 thousandths shy without any trimming, my normal rems, and winnys are usually 2.105"-2.110" when I trim...
I load several different loads with nickel brass and they all have minute shavings when seating bullets in them, never affected performance so far, but it's not something you goofed on, it just happens with nickel, it appears to be much stronger, and less forgiving than regular brass....
As far as mag primers go, I use them in ALL my hunting loads, even in my sons .243, every load book I have with people such as Layne Simpson recommend to always use a mag primer for hunting loads in these size cases as well as the big dogs......they just advise to back off a half grain to...
When changing to mag primers you only need to back of a half of a grain or a whole at max, they don't have enough variance to back off nowhere 10%......backing off that much would completly change the whole load, say you were loading 49 grains in the load , 10% would have you knocking back right...
