rick,I am loading30/06. the 165 grain bullet is speer pointed soft point I set one just far enough in to hold the bullet, measured length,colored the bullet with a sharpy pen the put it in the chamber ,I could see no differenc when i pulled the bullet out of the chamber.

the speer manual I have lists a powder charge for reloader 19 at a bullet weight 165 grains and up.do I need to buy a different powder for the 130 grain bullet I want to load for plinking long range .the manual drops to reloader 12.or is my book just outdated I am reloading 30/06

just got a new mod 700 rem30/06 ,went and got weaver split scope bases . took the leupold 4-12 scope off my mod742bdl but the scope will barely fit between the scope mounts.do they make a solid baes to attach the scope mounts so i can set my eye relief?
