So I've been wondering if I should neck size or full length size my 264 win mag. I mainly use the gun for hunting. Are there any benefits to neck sizing a belted magnum? And will it lengthen brass life. I've neck sized all of my other rifles just never my 264. Or should I bump the shoulder until...
Range Day was a success!

69.5 gr Retumbo. 3230 av
70.5 gr of Retumbo. chrony wasn't reading again and I almost stopped my load testing because 69.5 shot so well. BUT........

Just got my barreled action back from Proof Research. After 3 hours of 320 grit sand paper I got it to fit into the HS precision stock and mounted the scope
And broke in the barrel. I'm getting ready to do some load testing with the 125 NP and 140 bergers. I'll post how my range day goes later...
Thanks guys, I've dusted only one yote this year with my Grendel and didn't have my phone/camera with me but the 107 smk and left a tennis ball sized exit wound at about 150 yards... Wondering if the 130 ab would be better for just punching holes in the hide or the swift scirocco
Got some shooting done on paper with my Grendel.... Did some 5 round groups as fast as I could back on the red dot. I am pretty glad how the results turned out. Both groups had the 4th and 5th shot walk on me or maybe I flinched, either way I happy with both loads. And there is almost no need to...
I managed to get some Lapua brass for my gun but it was a wait. I think all together this gun has taken a year to build and be shootable. Took almost 7 months to get just the barrel which is an Alexander arms 20" 1-9 twist. It seems to shoot alot flatter then what my ballistics programs predict...
Well guys its been quite a while since i've posed on this fine forum. I got a new toy to show everyone.... It's my New coyote gun.
Im shooting a 107 SMK over 29.5 gr of IMR XBR 8208 at and average of 2730 on the Chrony
Compared to a .223
So i was wondering if say i had a .224 69 grain bullet traveling at 2800 FPS would stabilize out of a 16 inch barrel(1-9 twist). A guy at a reloading shop had told me that they dont shoot very well out of that length and twist....... Just seemed kinda fishy to me. I know i have a wealth of...
I came across this 22 at a gun show a couple weeks ago. I decided i needed it lol.
Its a Remington Model 37 The Rangemaster....its topped off with a Straight 15x J.W. Fecker with paralax adjustment
Yet to shoot it..... range report will soon follow
Figured i would start up a little debate on the forum here, always nice to get everyones opinion. Both calibers are great and flat shooting, and i my self own a .264 WM. Also im curious about the .270WSM and peoples experinces with them.
So as all of you could guess at what my choice...
I would jump on the chance for that .264 WinMag barrel. Regarding recoil the 264 to me isnt any worse then a .270 or 30-06 with a little more muzzle report, may even be milder considering the weight of your gun. I personaly use the 130 Accubond for the hunting i do, i really dont run into much...
The Rig roads are kinda sorta "Dry up", but are still packed down and smoother then the highways from all the traffic this spring. Looking at 500 new wells out this way. Or so I've been told.
Kinda excited for Prong horn this, been kinda scouting when i head out there to work.
Hey Rod have you had a look at whole sale sports In Fargo yet for the Bergers. If i do remember correctly they had some 140gr bergers and 168 bergers about a week ago.
