I have a .325 WSM in a Browning A bolt Stainless Stalker. I love the gun, and the cartridge! I have not found any loads that will consistently shoot less than 1 MOA, but I have found many that will shoot right around 1 MOA. The kick isn't TOO bad, but I have a 1 3/8" Kick-EEZ pad on mine to make...
I have used H4831SC for the .30-06 with 165 grain Ballistic Tips. I found that 58.0 or 59.0 grains worked well in an older 1903 Springfield. Just my $.02
I love Nosler and use them for everything applicable, but I can't afford to buy firsts for target shooting.
Come on Quarterbore shooters! We unite here and protest for Nosler to make a mistake on some Ballistic Tips! :P
Heath, I am speaking of neck wall thickness. The diameter will continue to be sized correctly with the sizer die, but the neck will grow thicker as the flow of brass moves from the head of the case to the neck when you fire. Be careful not to measure up too high on the neck wall (where you most...
Keep your brass sorted in "lots." I also write the number of loadings on the label on the ammo box.
If you don't know how many times it has been loaded, and you suspect it may be more than say 2 or 3 times (in a .30-06) either throw it out or start measuring. Neck thickness will increase...
I am looking for Nosler seconds that have not appeared lately in the listings in the Pro Shop. I am looking for .257 caliber 85gr. Ballistic Tips and 200 grain Accubonds or Partitions for 8mm.
+1 to that. I am a member there as well. Great site with great folks. I may have to change my name to onlyT/CandBrowning if I hang around there any longer.
I did not clarify that very well...The G2 I own is a pistol frame. I can legally install a rifle barrel and stock on that frame. I will also hunt with it as a pistol with the 14" barrel. I have both stock sets and barrels in the 6.8 spc.
I will be hunting whitetails with my 6.8 spc G2 in both 14" and 23" capacities. I want to use the 110 grain Nosler Accubond when it comes out, but for arguments sake, if I had to use the 100 grain Hornady spire points I have now, would they be a satisfactory choice? Muzzle velocity for the 14"...
I have owned a few Nikons and more Leupold's. I still own most of the Leupolds and only one Nikon.
The Nikons I have had, were VERY CLEAR, but they give an illusion that you are looking through a tube. This bothers some shooters but not others. One more good thing about the Nikon is the...
I always look at the wind more than anything to plan my range trips. I am wondering what my cutoff should be for wind speed to know it is going to affect bullet flight at 100-200 yards? I try to keep it under 10 mph, but don't know how much even that speed will affect bullet flight. :?:
Or maybe some could accidentally come out with a funky color tip??? I would just love to tell my friends that aren't in the know that I have them custom made just for me like that. Hahahaha.
