I'm looking for some information with loading Nosler's 70 gr RDF bullet in a 1-8" Tikka .223 Superlite. I'd like to shoot out to 700 yards or so and the published BC is .416, which interests me greatly. I loaded 24.5 gr of TAC at various seating depths but got inconsistent results.
I have...
Ballistic coefficient isn't a significant factor until you get out there a ways, more like 600 yards and up.
160 NAB is a great choice. I went with Reloader 26 and 162 ELDX, but I shoot at 600 regularly.

Don't forget the 162 ELDX, I'm using Reloader 26 for right at 3100 fps. One buck, one shot, DRT. A big 6x6 bull, one shot, DRT. My brother killed a big cow elk, one shot DRT. No long shots this year but we typically shoot 450 to 550 yards.

The reason I ask is I use Hunter in my .30-06 rifles. Great velocity and accuracy from 165 gr up to 180 gr. Temp stable, no pressure signs at max loads.
I use Big Game in my 7mm-08 rifles, 120 gr up to 150 gr, haven't tried 160 gr. Great velocity and accuracy, also very temp stable with no...
I was impressed. My hunting party killed seven animals this year with the ELDX, three elk and four deer. The only animal that took more than one shot was the aforementioned bull, my nephew's first. He learned to shoot until they fall, which explains the follow-ups.
Great performance and...
If you really want to have some fun with 150's, try Big Game with the 150 ELDX.
This is three shots at 100 yards. Pretty speedy for a 150.
This is the entrance on a decent 5x6 bull taken at 407 yards. The two shots low were follow-ups but the bull was dead on his feet.
Three bucks...
178 ELDX
I use 59 grains Hunter with 180 Accubonds and Partitions. Magnum primers.
Here's a great resource from a guy who knows what he's doing:

Three shots, three mulie bucks, 217, 170, 102 yards. Farthest recovery was 35 feet. All bullets exited. 2798 fps mv.
Sorry I couldn't show a pic. The tenderloins were delicious.
