It’s probably throated for a VLD of some sort…Berger or ELD maybe. Those take up more length.

    Antique Partitions

I’m with ya. I load round nose bullets when I can too. Nothing more “old school cool” than a 300 H&H sporting a RN! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    My 45 Colt Article

I have a Blackhawk Bisley (the thick one) as well as a 45 Colt Rossi rifle. The 335gr WFNGC hand loads will get your attention in both.

    7mm-08 Rem elk loads

Watched my friends 15 year old boy drop a cow like she’d been pole-axed at 315 with a 139gr SST. I can’t get them to shoot in mine.

    QL data .348 Win.

Thank you Dr Mike. I don’t think there is a current 150. There were Speers and also a Winchester silver tip. I’m not sure if a person could put custom specs in on a bullet or not. If so I can get those numbers from Hammer. Thank you so much! Edit and I was mistaken it’s 157gr...

    Winchester 71

Got it. Loaded up a handful of the 200FTX last night with imr4350 out of the Hornady book. Seems odd to see a spitzer bullet loaded for a lever gun.

    QL data .348 Win.

Here I am being that guy that should buy Quickload instead of pestering others. One of my pet peeves and here I go doing it. I would buy it, I don’t have a PC to run it on. I am wondering if someone could run a .348 Winchester with 150gr bullet H322 and/or H335? I want to sub that data...

    Winchester 71

So nothing to report other than I am still waiting for the other shell holder for my Forster press. I didn’t consider the stock one wouldn’t accommodate that big ol’ case head. Been waiting for over a week on the ordered part. I’m gonna lose my stuff if I don’t get to fire this thing pretty...

    Desiccant?

There are those plug-in rods that work pretty well. I also have a large flat desiccant pack that hangs in an enclosed area. It has an indicator on it that changes color when it needs dried. It plugs in and heats up and in a few hours it’s fully regenerated. Finally there are full - on stand...

    Winchester 71

I like that. I have my grandmother’s Winchester 94 30-30. I think it’s early 1900’s. My grandpa bought it off a friend who broke the stock in a horse wreck. He glued and shortened it for her as she was very petite. I replaced it but still have the old one. Like your 71, it will never be...

    Winchester 71

Serial # puts it at 1939 manufacture. I guess a 71 in really good condition is not all that uncommon. Many of them were fired once and the owner found out it was too much of a good thing and they were propped up in the closet. I will have brass and bullets soon, I’ll post up a range report.

Looking for info on two different action's mag length.

The Zastava Mauser copies come in standard length (‘06) and magnum length (H&H). The former has the ejection port milled rearward from the factory. There is a fella on gunbroker who often times has actions for sale. They used to be cheap. Not anymore. I have one that’s a lefty. It was a...
