Well only got to go out hunting one day at the end of the season. I started feeling better after fighting cancer since the beginning of june. Cancer is in remission and a friend took me out Halloween day. When I saw this big body 3x3 I wasnt going to pass. One shot with my Rem 760 35 Whelen w/...
I have never needed to shoot long with my whelen two Roosevelt Elk and two bear have all been shot within 35 yards. 8 or 9 blacktails have all been under 50 yards and a mule deer was way out there about 75 yards. Funny thing my longest 2 shots at game were with a 45-70(125 yrds) and a 50 cal...
Those look like bullets from ranchdog molds- http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/index.p ... ath=1_5_14

You can always contact leupold with a SN and they will confirm if the scope was made by them. I did this with a vx3 1.5-5 that was NIB that i got a super deal on.
I hear you- I have had the same experience with my 264- tried both 7828 and r25 nothing impressive- Magnum powder worked a lil better for accuracy- I would like to find a powder that works great

Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 I saw online you could get these for 279.00 Just wondering if they are any good. I was thinking for my 264wm and with that magnification I could really get dialed in at 300 yrds. Or am I better off with my leupold 4-12 germ post #4 which I have on the gun rt now.
I would say prob 223 would be best- even if I dont own one since I have a hornet and 22-250. If I was going to get a plinking/varmit gun that was cheaper to reload that would be it-brass n bullets are easy to get. right now most places have 420 round boxes of Fed/lc ammo for around $160.00 that...
You just opened yourself for a lot of remarks- everyone has their favorites- a lot of us like the odd balls 6.5's and 35 calibers. More info is needed like; if you hunt and if so what kind of game, R you target shooting for tiny groups, what action of rifles you prefer, what will your typical...
