Anyone actually tried these at all.
I know RL15 is close to king but these show some merit also.

I haven't, but I'd love to see your results. I have tried varget, imr 8208, imr 4064, RL 15, W748, and imr 4895. RL 15 and 4064 are by far the most accurate.
I have some loaded with bl-c(2) but I haven't tried them yet.

all my hunting rifles are shooting under .5". I love shooting the whelen. so, I keep playing with new loads.

I have not fired my 7600 Remington yet.

I do have some 225 AB's and PT's. If I can get close to 2700 fps and sub moa with either I would be elated!

I did a lot of testing with the powders above and never got a 225 NAB close to 2600 AND under a MOA. my best 225 round was 2550fps with RL-15. .....but I'm shooting a 22" barreled H&R break action.

Pretty hard to beat Varget or RL 15 with the 225's but that said I have always wanted to try TAC with some 200-225 gr bullets, if you try it make sure you let us know how it all works out.

When I ran RL 15 my best accuracy came at around 2650 fps in my old Whelen with a bunch of different 225 gr bullets, would be interesting to see how the new gun would like it.

I use Tac in my 350RM with 225 partitions and get over 2700, your Whelen should do the same.

here's something from Chuck Hawks

Like its ballistic twin the .350 Remington Magnum, the .35 Whelen works best with medium burning rifle powders such as H335, RL-15, IMR 4320, IMR 4064, and W748. Suitable .35 caliber bullets range from about 150 grains to 250 grains, with the 220-225 grain bullets representing a sound choice for all-around use.

I have never used TAC Fotis, but being as Bill does so well with it in his 350RM, the Whelen should do the same, since they are just about identical case capacity. It looks like it should work really well for the 200's though.

Bill what is your load with TAC?

do a search.......................... yo

Fotis,

RL 15 works so well in the 35 Whelen, I don't think I would even mess with another powder.
FWIW, my M700 Classic has a 22" barrel and drives the 250 gr PT at 2584 fps with sub MOA accuracy.

Just a back up....just in case!

Fotis,
I also have the Rem 700 Classic with 22" barrel in the Whelen. I'm shooting 59.5 RL15, CCI200 primers with the 225 AB getting 2677 fps. Re-sized brass shows no pressure signs even in hot weather.

I tried 225 Partitions not long ago with same load. Got basically the same sized groups but velocity was slower at 2580-2600 fps.

Thank you gents. will find out this week
