35 Whelen and Tac or 4320?

No pressure longgunner, but owning a 35 Whelen on this forum is almost a must. So get ready to be welcomed into the family
Fotis what ever powder you decide on will be right on as you always seem to produce good velocity along with accuracy 8)

Ok, lets not forget this is part science, part trial and error. The error's being those loads that just don't work out so well. But honestly I would say more often then not, trying something that wasn't suggested as the most accurate in a reloading manual or a favorite pet load totally changed the outcome...... Bug holes!

Load development and testing loads is just that, and I've tried AA 2460, IMR 4064, IMR 4320, W748, and V-N140 in my 35 Whelen, but it was H4895 that worked the best overall for a given load in my gun with a 225 gr. bullet. So try and try again until you've found something that works. In the end you'll be satisfied with your decision and your gun will perform as good as it gets!

With any luck I will be trying it and the 338 Win mag #1 this coming Thursday.
