SPS has a 4th of July Flash Sale running. In particular 6.5mm 140 gr. Accubond blems for $25/50. That was too good a price for me to pass up getting a few.
I forgot to mention that out of the Contender it performed better than expected on the feral pigs probably due to lower muzzle velocity. If I knew I was going pig hunting I might pick a tougher or heavier bullet but he killed several with no issue as targets of opportunity while deer hunting.
I loaded 125 gr. Ballistic Tips for a friend some years ago with a max charge of Varget using pistol data for 130 gr. bullet off Hodgdon’s website data for pistols. He killed several deer as well as feral pigs with that bullet out of his 30-30 14” Contender with no problems whatsoever. He was...
A guy on 6.5 Grendel forum has had good success on feral pigs with 90 gr. TNTs. I’ve never used anything lighter than 100 gr. Partitions in my 6.5 Grendel.

These are listed as blems but look more like an overrun with the green polymer tip instead of gray. Regardless, $55.95/100 is an excellent price for that bullet. And no, I am in no way affiliated with Nosler...
B.C. doesn’t really become a significant factor until you get past 300 yard mark. Unless you anticipate your daughter shooting at that range or greater I’d load them and let her hunt and take game with them. Neither will know the difference.
Sierra - great experience with their products over decades. Nosler is my favorite though I do have some Norma bullets on hand but my experience with Sierra has been good. I’ve used a few Hornady bullets but not that many though they do seem to have been best at meeting product demand through...
FWIW - all the Tikka’s that I’ve seen have been consistently accurate without doing a darned thing to them. No tuning, just break them out of the box, get decent ammunition to feed them and they are shooters. After watching this out of half a dozen while helping friends prep for out of state...
I think this has been done a few times, check out this link. Tikka offers a T3X Artic that encompasses many of the characteristics you listed.

Hi Dan,
Not an elk hunter but I’d lean to the 165 gr. Accubond as I’d prefer that to the 180 gr. for two reasons - you’ll get better velocity and trajectory with the 165 gr. weight and I think it’s a better weight for deer hunting. Nothing wrong with the 180 gr. just that there’s a big...
If you’re planning to keep velocity at 3000 fps or below I’d recommend the 120 gr. Ballistic Tip. I’ve used it in my 7mm-08 at 3000 fps and it’s astonishing what a good job of putting them down quick it does. It’s also a bit tougher than you’d expect. Anyway, given the velocity you say you...
I developed a new load for my CZ-527 6.5 Grendel prior to hunting season using 129 gr. ABLR, Shooters World Match rifle powder and CCI 450 primer in Starline cases. I’m getting average speed of 2624 fps over my chronograph 15’ from muzzle. I used the load data in Shooter’s World manual to...
