I also installed a SRT trigger in it and looking to do more upgrades. The m&p hinged trigger has been replaced with a factory m&p flat-faced from another m&p I have.
While I haven't trimmed any yet, it is good to keep this case at X length (some data is .005" difference). Full size for sure and careful on expanding the mouth as to little will cause case crush when seating bullets.......ask me how I know. I also have the 226 in 357sig and it never has...
having 7saum myself i think 160-168 is the sweet spot for that cartridge. 175's are a 2nd, but sierra 183's are great! having 560 and 565 it'll go fast as both are a good fit for the 7saum and 6.5prc.
i have a 243win 22" 8 twist, but in an AR. factory win cor-loc 100's are almost to long for the chamber. i haven't had time to work out the kinks, but do have a uni-throater to lengthen many different calibers if needed (24, 26, 28, 30 & 33 cals). so far i haven't needed any for the 22 or...
i've seen this on many other forums where new members post like this and never seen again or just change names..............i'll never buy from a site that doesn't accept cc's as that's the only protection you have!
i have a few gold dots in mainly 9mm and 40cal/10mm, but iirc i only have 27cal gold dots for 6.8spc. seem to be a good choice no matter the caliber or cartridge.
there used to be a local butcher shop/slaughter house to take it to, but now you need to travel 45 minutes +. having someone that'll field strip and ice within a close time frame would be helpful. myself and my kids that want to shoot 1 would be willing to donate. all it cost us is the...
I shot only 1 buck when in junior high ('78). Didn't care for the taste of venison, so never shot any since. If I ever decide 2 and someone from my home town would want it, my choice would be my dad's pre64 ('61 production) 264wm for nostalgia. Has over 2,500 rounds thru it and still...
just hope the piggies don't find it! when they find peanut fields they'll destroy it faster than a town full of people could shoot them. glad ya'll had a great range day!
19 seems to be the ticket in 7saum across the board. h4831 shows about 100fps slower. 23 would be a closer fit than 26, but 16 should work in the lightweights. when i put in ql info 7828ssc is a good fit for 7saum and 6.5prc...........accuracy wise, it's a tossup. do you know case...
isn't there a republican to take vp slot if downhill joe leaves? that would be a riot of laughs as the dems would never live that 1 down! i'm really not sure who sits 3rd
i just started with a 7saum, but haven't done any load yet (100, 120, 150, 175, 183, 185 & 195 grains). part of those will be for 7-08rem loads as those are my 1st 2 ever in 28cal.
nosler and hornady does publish those loads, maybe not all of those powders are listed tho. hodgdon has 7828 (non ssc) in 7saum data and h4831 (non-sc). hornady 154 data in hodgdon can be used as in the hornady manual all 154 bullets has the same coal (2.825")
