Every time I testing a new turkey call the neighbor’s chickens all freak out and “fly” up on the nesting box. I find it hilarious. But the chickens seem distressed. Don’t want to interfere with egg production 😂😂 Best I can come up with is maybe one the calls is similar to a chicken in distress...
I've thought about getting an inexpensive 8" tablet just for reloading. Really only needs to be WIFI capable and run a few spreadsheets. Small enough to fit in a range bag, but big enough for my stubby fingers to manipulate.
Yes. Not a lot of fat. And a different flavor altogether. It’s hit or miss. Usually sows are decent table fare, but a boar tends to taste on the inside how they smell on the outside.
Today’s dinner is slow roasted loin from the wild sow Nathan shot with a mushroom Au Jus. Southern green beans simmered with a smoked ham hock in broth, new red potatoes tossed in olive oil, garlic, dried onion, fennel, rosemary, thyme, and a hint of cayenne and air fried. And a wedge of...
Hear is a copper over a glass soundboard set in Bocote’ wood. (Very similar to Pau Ferro) I tested several strikers and the rosewood with a dymondwood top really wrung out all the turkey in it. Easy to master and sounds fantastic. $65 TTD
PayPal preferred, but other options are ok.
Glass jars would work, but I think I'd paint or wrap in tape or dark paper because I think powder is photosensitive. If they're just pin holes, could you temporarily transfer the powder to a large container and patch the holes with hot glue or something? just spit-balling.
I use bound notebooks, and input that data into a spread sheet. GRT is a good way to keep up with loads and all the associated info....My mentor used pocket notebooks at the range and the final load data was transferred to index cards and stored in card boxes. Just like our mothers used to do...
There was a kid about 12-13 who used to walk to our range from his house 2-3 times a week just before sunset and rake up all the brass. Don’t know if he sold it as scrap or sorted and sold it as once fired, but he said that’s how he paid for movies, video games, etc…he has a bright future.
I don't think there's a downside unless its done wrong. I have started doing more pillar bedding lately. And if the rifle has a plastic bottom metal/trigger guard I would highly recommend upgrading to alum or steel so you can torque it down properly without squishing some plastic.
Could somebody plug in:

22" barrel
33.9 H20
75 hornady V-max
2.100 COAL
IMR 3031
Goal is for 100% burn and burnout well before muzzle to help reduce whiteout in the IR scope from muzzle flash and IR reflection on unburnt powder, yet still "slow" enough to generate...
I’ve been using a lot of Ramshot and shooters world. Still higher than it was, but way less than Hodgdon and the Reloder series. I’ve seen Vihtavuori powders less than that.
