    .375" 260 gr Nosler Accubond

Seems like you've been using Noslers for a rather long time. Me too, as well as a bunch of other posters here on the Nosler forum. :) I actually kept a couple of boxes of those old screw machine Partitions from the 1970's and got some more from someone else not too many years ago. I keep 'em...

    3006 165 gr Partition R -17 Reloader powder

Welcome aboard Bigbuck! Love the 165's from the 30-06 and have taken elk, mule deer, black bear and pronghorn antelope with 165's. I've not yet used RL-17, and understand that it might not be available for some time. Have happily used H4350 and Ramshot Hunter for excellent velocity and...

    .375" 260 gr Nosler Accubond

Someday I hope to hunt mule deer with the 110 gr Accubonds at 3208 fps from my 25-06 Remington. SD for that load is 7 fps, and 100 yard groups measure .6 - .7" from the factory Rem 700. The only Accubond I've used while hunting was that 260 grain Accubond from my 375 H&H on a few bears...

Well... it was from a 30-378... ;) That might just flatten any doggone 30 cal bullet! :) Guy

    .375" 260 gr Nosler Accubond

The Ballistic Tip is an outstanding deer bullet. With the 95 grain 6mm, 115 grain .257" and the 165 grain .308 I've taken quite a bit of game. Pronghorn, whitetail, mule deer, black bear and elk. Faster expanding bullets tend to do really well on deer. Those 260 and 180 grain Accubonds are...

    .375" 260 gr Nosler Accubond

Yup, both the .375" 260 gr and the .308" 180 gr Accubonds are likely better suited to heavier bodied game than whitetail. I think of both of them as better suited for elk sized critters. Fun to see this ol' 2011 thread still kicking! :) Regards, Guy

    BLR Trigger

I don't remember the name, but I understand that there is a fellow who specializes in BLR triggers. Maybe someone else will know who it is... Guy

    High Master Club

Excellent! :) I sometimes chuckle that while I was shooting "Master" I'd occasionally be top shooter, but once I bumped up to High Master I never won another high power match! ;) I was good enough to shoot with the big boys, but not good enough to beat them. Guy

staBALL HD load data for 7mm rem mag

Am giving Magpro a try. Will let you 7mm Rem Mag fans know how it works out. Came across a stray 8 lb container of it at work. Nobody else wanted it and the data on Hodgdon's reloading data center looks pretty good. So if you like Magpro, go buy some now... ;) Guy

staBALL HD load data for 7mm rem mag

That's amazing! The stuff hasn't been available commercially in a long time. 20 years maybe? Though "sooty" it was my go-to powder for the 7mm Rem Mag. When I couldn't get it anymore I went to Reloader 22 and was happy until... I couldn't get RL-22 anymore either. Then I switched to the new...

Favorite bullets and powders for the 358 Win? Crimp?

200 gr RN Hornady sure proved accurate when I tried it in the 360 Buckhammer. Dunno how it performs on game, but I'd think it likely does well. Guy

    anybody fish for

Been a while, but my buddies and I enjoy getting out for honest-to-goodness carp here in Washington, with our fly rods. They can PULL and one fellow had a carp shatter his 7wt Sage fly rod! Typically I'll use my 8wt rod for them, but a 6wt will do - ya just gotta play 'em longer and not use as...

    357 Magnum revolver problems

Ya, that new one is producing mighty slow velocity for what should be a pretty peppy load. Wonder what the pressure is doing? How do the cases and primers look? Could the pressure be too low for good velocity? Dang! A puzzle for sure. Guy

    Approaching 70...

This morning I did 30 minutes on the rowing machine. Great workout and no impact on the feet, ankles, legs, just a good near-total-body workout. Typically I'll do that 4-5 times a week. Often I'll add pushups, crunches, a bit of lifting and some of my old self-defense exercises to the row, but I...
