I've heard the term "slob hunters" applied to those who tend to ruin it for all of us.
Trespassers. Hunters leaving a huge mess behind when they break camp: shot up targets, empty booze bottles, trash strewn around.
Guys who shoot first, then figure out if their buck (or duck, or bull or...
Congrats! Put a good bullet where it belongs and you've got venison. :)
I've said before "It doesn't take a cannon." My son and I have made good use of 6mm 95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips, and .257" 115's as well. They work great for deer!

Fellow I met in bear camp about a year and a half ago dropped his black bear very nicely with one of the 300 gr Hornady bullets from his 45-70 Marlin 1895 Guide Gun.
Excellent penetration as well as expansion. Fairly short range shot but I don't remember the specifics.

I've had excellent success with 110 - 120 gr bullets using Retumbo. Velocity for the 115's is about 3150 - 3190 fps with good accuracy. I've taken mule deer out to 400 yards with the 115's. Haven't loaded 120's in quite a few years but they should do just fine.
IMR 8133 also worked well, but...
We were both there on a spring grizzly hunt in 2017, not a multi-species hunt.
Ya I had trouble with the X bullets back in the 1990's - but the TSX, TTSX, Nosler E-Tip and Hornady GMX/CX seem to do much better. I've had fine results on target with them from several different rifle cartridges...
The monolithic copper or copper-alloy bullets are a bit different from our good ol' lead-core jacketed bullets aren't they? Can be challenging to get the same velocity, without excess pressure...
Still, 2900 fps from the 160 gr mono bullets is quite possible, and 3000 fps may be within grasp...
A single 175 Nosler Partition from my 7mm Rem Mag took a mighty fine bull elk for me quite a few years ago. Muzzle velocity was about 2900 fps via sooty old H870 which is no longer available.
StaBall HD is a fine powder and can produce 2900+ fps from a 175 and the 7mm Rem Mag. I've always liked...
No. Either way provides good, consistent powder charges. I do prefer spherical powders if I'm using the manual powder measure/dispenser to get more consistent powder charges. If I'm using some of the stick powders and a manual powder measure, that's when the powder trickler gets put to use...
That's my review. There's a written article on the website and the video as well. Did that in 2022 and am still using the Lyman Gen 6. No problems.
Sometimes I'll use it, other times I'll just manually dispense the charges, weighing on a balance scale.

I haven't taken any game with them yet, but did run a 240 XTP into the clear ballistics gel blocks from a 7.5" 44 mag Ruger revolver.
Muzzle velocity was 1389 fps.
This bullet expanded to .628” diameter, penetrated 25” in the Clear Ballistics Gel, and retained 228 grains, or 95% of its...
The Bergers are a mixed bag. Very different from most hunting bullets.
They tend to be very accurate. The Elite Hunter and the Classic are easier to get to shoot well than is the VLD. That one can be a bit finicky, though they've shot well for me.
They are a fragmenting bullet...
Therein...
Washington has a short pheasant season in September for hunters who are 65+ years old or disabled. It runs 16-20 Sept this year. I got out this morning with the dog, shotgun and camera. No pheasants were found - which didn't surprise me - but it was a nice walk with a good gun and my dog got to...
