I had a QL run for me a couple of years ago, but with a 22" barrel. Looks like a 20" tube runs about 100fps lower than what that QL lists. I think 2750 fps is going to be a bit wishful without going over pressure. I'd expect 2650-60 to be about tops. Still, that's plenty of speed...

The magazines for the Ruger American are notorious for not feeding rounds properly. When I rebored mine to a 338 Fed I ran into this. Found this fix on You Tube, tried it, and Presto ! It worked. Just be careful putting the back on. There is a small hole that must be lined up with the feeder...

I have my own theory that those who invented the 140 BT and Varget were unknowingly Divinely inspired. It's one of the combo's you read about that just kills beyond what it's capable of.
