Selling a used but well cared for Lyman Trimmer. Ive since upgraded to a power trimmer, but there is nothing wrong with this trimmer. I bought this about 4 years ago new. Less than a year ago, I purchased and installed the carbide cutter head upgrade and it is currently installed on the trimmer...
Those midway blems are always going to be Hornady or Sierra 2nds. I've purchased several boxes over the years in 224 , 6.5, and 7mm. Most of the time I can't
find a reason to why they were sold as 2nds. Occasionally I'll find some tarnish, and onltwo handful of times I've found some polymer...
I upgraded from the RCBS and MTM universal blocks couple years ago to the lyman bleacher blocks. I find them to be a huge improvement and very easy to keep my brass organized on the bench. I also like how not in use they can be flipped around at opposing angles and stacked.
I received an email from Brownells. They have Blackhorn 209 in stock for $81.99 for an 8oz bottle. I nearly dropped my phone once I read the price.

For those that didn't see this, Winchester (Hodgdon) has added 2 powders to the StaBall lineup. No data has been posted or added to their Reloading Data Center yet, but just from what I read, it appears that one of these powders will be faster (4064 ish) and one will be slower (4831 ish) than...
I have developed and used a great load with the 150gr ELD-X and H4831sc. The charge I settled on was 60.5GR with a velocity of 2963fps. I killed 3 deer with that bullet ranging from 60yds to 175yds. 2 of the 3 were bang flops. I've been pleased with that bullet.
I also have a pound of 7977...
The worst in my opinion is Federal at least the newer stuff made in last 5 years or so.
The best I've used is a 3 way tie in Lapua, Alpha, and Peterson. All of these are top notch.
I've had good luck with Starline, Jageman, Hornady, R-P, and Privi Partizan as well
I bought some (from...
I've developed good loads with Ramshot BigGame in my sons 6.5 creedmoor, my 7x57 and also my 8x57. The one thing I've noticed is that with every bullet tried in all the cartridges I've loaded it in, the BigGame goes from not the least bit accurate to very accurate and the most accuracy is...
I've used LEE, RCBS, Hornady, and Redding at one point or another in the past.
I've since converted all my die sets to Redding and all of my deer rifles I load for has a .473 base so I only currently use a Redding shell holder. I also use a Redding #10 shell holder when I load for 223rem.
It looks like you might have your sizing die screwed too deep in your press.
Not sure if your loading for a bolt gun or other type of action but I would try to adjust your sizing die to where the sized case will chamber with just a bit of resistance. This way you won't be excessively sizing...
I've known several friends / family with a Ruger American in various chamberings. They've all been accurate. I'm sure you were excited and pleased about the group you posted.
I'm looking to see if anyone here has any .338 Hornady 200gr SSTs ? If you have any that you'd be willing to part with would you please PM me ?
Thanks
Ben
NP,
That's a cheap (compared to your merkels and furlocks) Baikal IZH 94. It was russian made and imported through European America Arms in Florida. It's a 12ga / 223rem. I currently load 55gr Sierra SP over 23gr BL-C2. The 12ga barrel patterns very good with the choke tube I have in it right...
Since I still had a 2nd spring turkey tag, Ive hunted a few mornings. I have kinda had the attitude that if I could take a 2nd bird, that would great, but if I didn't then it would just be nice to be outside in the beautiful spring woods. Yesterday morning before work I went to a farm that Ive...
So I took 2 weeks off from work to turkey hunt in my home state of West Virginia. Granted, I did hunt a great deal of those 2 weeks, but just being off work was nice also. During those 2 weeks I managed to get out for 9 mornings. In those 9 hunts, I only had 1 chance at a bird when a buddy...
