    Vaccine mandate and Nosler

bdbrown66, my feeling on polio coming back is very simple. We now have over one million illegals coming into our country a year. They have no vaccinations, are carrying all kinds of diseases, and are being shoved into all different areas of the country. I'm sure its going to get a lot worse...

    Moose Monday!

Excellent photo Guy. When I head up to Maine I usually spend a day in an area called the Katadin Iron Works Bird Hunting. A lot of moose live in this area and it's not uncommon to see five or six during the course of the day. Usually you stumble on them and the close photography (30-40 feet) can...

    On my way to work

My son lives in Prescott, Arizona and has antelope in his field on just about a daily basis. I believe the season has already started in Arizona and the Antelope have found a safe place to eat and rest. My son doesn't hunt and I believe the Antelope found that out beforehand.

    Always pay attention

When I am going to reload be it Rifle or handgun I make sure one powder only is on the bench and has already been poured into the powder measure. The can then sits on the side. I also make sure ( by telling my wife) that I want no phone calls, knocks on the door or other distractions while I am...

    Is there anything wrong with...

Guy, As good of a shot as you are with a handgun why not make it very sporting and use a large Caliber Revolver or better yet your .45 Auto to administer the finishing touches? I've read many stories of handguns being used very successfully. It would definitely make for a lighter carry and a...

    Supplies making a comeback ?

Went to my local gunshow this morning for the purposes of getting an IWB holster for my P365. I was going to make it a short trip but decided to peruse some of the tables. (always something you can't live without ) As usual there were two tables total that were selling primers of various sizes...

    LEOSA (HR-218)

Still waiting patiently for the State of NJ to come out with the new rules and regulations. My State Police source advised that paper is in the works but nothing has come forward yet. I'm sure they're trying to figure out a way to get around the new regs.

    My 45 Colt Article

Guy, very good read. At one point in time I had a Ruger Vaquero (old model) in .45 Colt. Very pleasant to shoot, accurate with the 255 grain Semi Wadcutter and in a pinch it could served very well for personal defense. Your article brought back memories.

    Ammunition availability

Just received another flyer from Everglades ammunition which is where I buy all my 9MM 124 Grain Berry's bullets. The advertised price had been $147.00 per thousand. Sale price as of yesterday was $92.00 per thousand. Now that's a difference.

    Ammunition availability

From sources at Midsouth it sounds like the entire stock was sold out in a little over two hours. There's either a lot of people that want to shoot or the usual crew is buying everything up for resale. I hope it's the former. It is good to see prices like this showing up again.

    Ammunition availability

And I know I'll probably get into trouble for saying this but I hope the boys over on Gunbroker choke on their thousands of rounds their selling at premium prices.

    Ammunition availability

Maybe there's some daylight ahead of us. I was running through my E-mails when I came across an add from "Ammo Online". They were advertising 50 rounds of 9MM 124 Grain Ball Norma Ammo for $20.09. It looks like prices are definitely starting to drop. I know the Remington plant is now putting out...

    D-Day, June 6 1944

many years ago prior to becoming a Police Officer I worked for the Electrolux Vacum cleaner company. My Boss was a D-day veteran and had received a couple of wounds while coming across the beach. His comment was " I don't know how we made it but in retrospect we knew it was for the right thing...

    LEOSA (HR-218)

I'm not a fan of on-line information and would rather talk to someone when requesting information. Again, be patient, I'm sure more information will be forthcoming from NJ in regards to the new regulations. I'm sure they will do their best to screw things up as much as possible. This entire...

    LEOSA (HR-218)

your comment to the hollow point issue is incorrect. A federal court has stated that Law Enforcement whether active or retired can carry hollow point ammunition. NJ fought against that for quite a while and now has backed off according to the sources I have talked to. I'm waiting to hear more...

    LEOSA (HR-218)

Hollow point ammunition has been legal for a while in NJ. If you talk to three different NJ law enforcement people you will get three different answers. My go to person was a State Trooper lieutenant who worked in the firearms division. He also was difficult to get information from. The head...

    LEOSA (HR-218)

One other item, in regards to the magazine capacity NJ has required that it be ten rounds or less and that is still in effect and has not been challenged. To the best of my knowledge the pistol permit was originally required of everyone.

    LEOSA (HR-218)

Based on what I heard this is now applying to all Active and Retired officers. The hollow point issue was settled in a court a while back. There is actually an addition to the law on that issue. I'm sure there will be more coming out on it.
