As a business owner and a fire protection contractor, it is so sad. Hope he had business continuation insurance. I have had my business for 30 years and I can not imagine the pure shock they must be in.

Sounds awesome I have two 308 AR’s and in bolts I have a Rem 700 270 win with a 1-8 twist, a custom 700 Rem 284 win with a 28” 1-8 twist and Rem 700 338 win Mag I hand load them all and I have wanted a Rem 700 308 26” Sendero profile 1-9 twist rifle. I can get 2,450 out of my 20” AR with a...
I have to AR uppers in 6.5 Grendel both Black Hole Weaponry. 1-8 twist , one 20” and one 24”. Reasonable to load. Recoil is a bit over 223. I have Bull barrels so negligible actually. Great fun accurate guns, good-close in or at range 600 yds plus.. love them

Me as well. I love the 308 win in my LR308 with a 20” BHW 1-11 twist barrel. Does not shoot as long as the 260 Rem but 600 in the rifle is awesome. Ignore the haters. There are more 308 bullets and brass than you can shake a stick at. Something for everyone.

I use to think that as well. My first rifle was a sporting contour Rem 700 SPS stainless in 270 win. For years shot I shot Rem 150 and 130 core locks. It shot 2 moa . I changed to a houge aluminum beded stock it close down to 1 1/2 moa. I thought it was exactly that bad shooting mechanics. So...
3x9 x 40 has been the defacto hunting scope in Eastern us for generations..probably for a good reason. The 2.5 -10 x 44 with the fire dot is a nice upgrade IMHO.

Yes RL 26 is a great powder. I use in my 260 Rem heavies, 284 Win heavies, and 338 win Mag heavies. Unfortunately you can not did it anywhere which leads me to believe Alliant is having problems with the vendor for this powder.

Yes I did run some 170 Berger’s in my 26” McGowen barrel. last time I ran 3.484 coal with 53.5 gr. RL 26 about 2940 at70 degrees. Unfortunately I am down to one pond of the pixie dust and it is no where to be found

They call it practice. I have built 7 AR’s the first one took some time but several missteps in the process. By the time I got to number seven I had it down. In fact I went back and tore several of them down because after some learning I wanted to do it right second time. Pleased I learned. As...
Yep that pretty much aimed up a 6.5. You really can’t go wrong. Awesome rifle. Makes Precision shooting in reach of the average consumer. I have a 260 Rem and it’s a great caliber as well. Remington really screwed the pooch on that one. I reload and it offers everything the Creed does. But I...
Here are some picks of my 284 win
The rifle is a 284 win a Rem 700 Long action, McGowen precision 28” 1-8 twist Sendero profile Remage threading . Mac Gunworks brake. Magpul 700 hunter stock with a bedded recoil lug. Warne 20 mm rail Vortex Viper HST 5-25 x 50. With the 284 win I achieve...
Awesome rifle. Looks to me from pics you live in high plains at your elevation that round can shoot a long long long way. The most I can throw a 180 ELD at is 2,900 a quick calculation shows your at 2,000 fps out to 1,100 yds sea level which is 300 yds more than the 284. At your elevation...
Just played with ballistics vs my 28” 284 win with 185 RDF’s. I can push a 185 gr RDF out of my 284 win. at roughly 2,850 fps. With a 200 yd zero, at sea level I need a vertical drop offset of 6.7 mills and drift offset of 1.32 mills. This is based upon a 90 degree 10 mph wind. If I go...
