Today, I purchased a .280 AI from Nosler. I have always used RCBS dies, but I am contemplating purchasing a different brand to possibly help make more accurate ammunition. I have been unable to locate Forester dies in the the 280 AI. I saw a couple of different sites advertising Redding dies...
Thanks guys! I have been wanting the .280 AI for a while now. I have wanted a Nosler Professional since I saw one at the RMEF Elk Camp. With the Cyber Monday deal that they have going on, I could not pass the opportunity up.
Please excuse my ignorance. My 7 STW is a 1:9 twist which is faster than the 1:9.5 twist. So, with that in mind, my rifle should stabilize the 168 grain and the 175 grain bullet?
I am still trying to figure out what happened with the 168 grain LRX Barnes bullet and the key-holing that I was...
We can elk every year. We make a couple of different flavors. Last year we added a packet of taco season to several of the jars. Instant taco meat! Just heat up in a frying pan. Meals are quick and easy with the canned meat! This year if I am lucky, we plan to can about 1/2 to 1/3 of the...

Thanks for the input guys. Of the three boxes, only the one box had such deviation. The three shot group was about twice as big as well--2.5" group instead of 1.25". The Oehler looks to be very nice! I will probably have to save up for it though. The Shooting Chrony will have to work for...
I like the nickel brass. It helps me differentiate between my dad's 30-06 brass/loads and my 30-06 brass/loads. Have not noticed any problems with it. I obtained 100 empties back before I was reloading after shooting the win Failsafe for several years.
Ditto. I live about 40 minutes from the closest range. It is a real pain to work up loads. I think that loading at the range would save vast amounts of time.
I hope that it works out for you. Would be nice to have a room/camper shell/quiet(er) space to reload and stay out of the wind...
