    I've seen very few civilian barrels 25-06 and above shot out. Most shooters don't have the money or inclination to shoot recoiling rifles enough to use up a barrel. I think I read that some stainless barrels were electroplated with copper which could be turned black with some chemical treatment.

    It shot a friends new (old) Colt Python. The symptom was cylinder end shake. Shot good single action but would bind in double action. The old smith in Lubbock said the chambers were rough and polished them. After that it ran like a sewing machine. Might be the case with the Ruger. Irregardless...

    I like liver fried crisp, smothered with onions and in gravy. That and mashed potatoes is mighty fine. I slice liver and soak overnight in vinegar water or in buttermilk. It takes out the stronger taste.
