It looks as though you couldn't possibly get enough 7828 in a .30-06 case to get into trouble.

I don't believe I've ever shot at a range with cages for the shooters.
I do notice all the bullet holes in the wooden partitions. That represents an awful lot of ADs, or some downright disrespectful shooters!
Well, wait a minute. You say these were fired in your own rifle, right? So, is the photo before resizing, or after? If they look like that after firing in your rifle, then I would suggest you need to take a good look at your chamber. If they look normal after firing, but take on these dents...
One thing's for sure....they are curiously uniform in shape. And that one at the bottom sure looks like SOMETHING is either in the sizing die or the chamber, whatever the case may be.

As I understand it, if you're doing this for OBT purposes just close the bolt on an empty chamber then stick your cleaning rod down the bore and put a mark on the rod right at the muzzle. Measure the rod from the end to the mark, and that's your barrel length.
Okay, that actually gave you a bit more headroom, I think. Here's what QL thinks:

I agree with Scotty wholeheartedly.
I've read through this thread and did not see any mention of an actual water capacity measurement. It can make all the difference in the world. Case in point: that slick new 70 Super Grade I snagged a couple of months ago? My load for the older .280 pushed a...
Right place at the right time, good for you.
I've got one that was made in 1946 and belonged to my dad's brother-in-law who dropped dead at the ripe old age of 39. My dad kept it in a closet with his old Remington 17, and when we had to place him in assisted living they became mine. I think I'd...
I can attest to that, I've held one and did not need to fire it to come to the same conclusion. The freekin cylinder is as big as a frozen orange juice can!
Thought I saw, but didn't...and NOW I see exactly what you're looking at. Strike TWO!
I'll just take the walk to first and make no assumptions. Maybe someone can give a real answer.
I see what you're saying now. I don't have a Nosler manual, but in the online data it appears that they list the very same charges for .223 and 5.56. I would assume that the data is all 55000 psi since they would not list .223 loads above SAAMI pressures.
I have seen other manuals, though, where...
I think I have most of what I want, and way more than I need. I'm still dazzled by the M70 Super Grade in .280 I snagged a few weeks back and just haven't been wanting anything...but I am prone to sudden attack of gottahavititis. One rifle that might induce such an attack is an H&R 317 Ultra in...
