Advice on changing zero and group size...

This month is about the same temp as last September. We've had a really mild summer compared to years past.

Advice on changing zero and group size...

Thanks, Dr. Mike! I shot this load several times to verify. Sometimes it opened just a tad, but not much. I figured that was me. I am really bummed over this because I have just under 150 loaded! I started out with 250. I was hoping that this would be the last hunting round that I would...

Advice on changing zero and group size...

Last September I thought that I had found the best load combo for my Remignton 700 30-06. After checking the zero and group size a couple of times to confirm that it was not a fluke, I settled on the load. Fast forward to now, I went Friday to confirm zeros on my hunting rifles. The loads are...

That 11.0 gr Unique load is really nice to shoot. I was very hesitant about it at first, but the guys over at MO were very helpful. I'm thinking of trying Trail Boss next, then H4198. I may ever hunt with the 405gr Laser Cast this year.

http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy25 ... 7bfdcb.jpg Just returned from the range! Quick trip due to rain! I shot one load from my 45-70 and was pleased. 11.0 gr of Unique shot really well. I didn't have time to setup my chronograph. I will do that next time. I'm either going to get a tang...

I've got 405gr Laser Cast on the way. Should be here Monday. I will start out with H4198, and if that doesn't produce acceptable results, I may try Trail Boss. I have read that it shoots well and virtually no recoil.

Thanks everyone for the help! I will buy several types of bullets and experiment. I made a quick trip to the range today just so I could shoot it. This is my first 45-70 experience. The only factory ammo that I could find was Buffalo Bore 430 gr Lead FP. When I pulled the...

I'm hunting wild boar and whitetail deer. I was thinking of the 400gr Speer and a 405gr LaserCast LFN. I have a decent supply of brass on the way as well as H4198 and H335. Nothing else yet due to the supply crunch! Pics are coming for sure. I haven't decided on which scope to mount yet. I...

I just bought a Marlin 1895CB and need some pointers on reloading this caliber. I have tried the search feature, but keep getting a message stating that it returned too many common words. Thanks

    Range report 8/1/13

How old are the primers in question? The reason I ask is, I've had the same thing happening with my WLR primers. It has happened in two different rifles.

    64gr BSB in 223

Forgive me for asking as I am not familiar with QL, but is the charge weight listed considered the Max and should I reduce that number by 10% to get my starting load? I will be using H335 first followed by W748.

    64gr BSB in 223

Has anyone experimented with W748 or H335 with these bullets in a 223/5.56? I know the Nosler #7 lists only 4 powders (IMR4895, Varget, Benchmark, CFE 223), I don't have any of these! Any help or advice is appreciated.
