The 7mm 140 gr PT has no cannelure, but sometimes you find them at SPS. The SPS now has some seconds listed as BAND. What is the difference between this and the regular cannelure?

Did your primers look like the ones that I posted in this thread? I've been wondering if it's a bad lot of primers or if it was just a fluke.

I have been trying to understand the quick load data that has been posted on various sites. Could someone please explain how this is better or worse than the load books from the different manufacturers?
I hope that this is not taken as a silly question. I just want to know if this is...
You're right Dr. Mike! I am very pleased with this load. I wish that I could have held that last round in the same hole as the others. I think that it was a combo of trying to keep it in and barrel heat.
I also wish that the AB would have grouped a little better than it did. The velocity...
Thanks for your reply. It does appear to be a primer issue. It looks as though the side of the primer cup gave way and vented at an angle. I can tell you that when seating the primers, a few of the primer pockets felt loose. Could this be part of the problem?
I loaded up some 180gr PT and 165gr AB to try in my new to me Rem. 700 30-06. I loaded them up in new Nosler brass with WLR primers and IMR 4350. Velocity and accuracy were good for the most part with the PT. The AB will need some work! I did have a problem with the third string of PT. With...
Does the square have an eagle in it? More than likely it is the DAS cartouche that is worn. It should either be 3/8 or 5/8" and have an eagle with three stars in the box. The dots could be worn stars as well.
Is this on the left side of the stock?
Pics?
Try turning the collet over. I had the same problem with some 300 wsm ammo. I had to put the round in the collet and then into the puller. Hope this helps.
