    NRA

He took 17 million to walk out the door. It was the last insult before he goes. If he was run over in a NYC crosswalk, I'd shrug, and keep walking. If Hillary was behind the wheel, I'd have to reconsider her political future.

    338-06 thoughts??

Interesting in that the real world difference of the head diameter between the .470" of the 9.3x62mm and the .473" of the 30-06 is on paper rather than reality. As an example: US manufactured commercial brass measures a bit larger, but I've not seen any larger than .470"

    338-06 thoughts??

The question is: Is the 30-06 a descendant from the 9.3x62 gene pool?

    338-06 thoughts??

I have a 35 Whelen, a 35 Whelen AI, a 375 Whelen AI, and a 9.3x63, and the last one i would let go of would be the 9.3x62.

S/W model 63 sight in issues

I would reserve judgement on the state of the pistols sights until you spend some time at the range with it. Years ago I took a co-worker to the range to shot my Gold Cup. He fired 5 rounds, then looks through the spotting scope to see his results.... a blank target. He tells me that the...

    .270 QL needed

I'm running 57.0 gr. of RL-17 with the 130 gr. BT at a LOA of 3.378 in my 24" barrel M700 and getting 3234 fps and 1/2 MOA accuracy. I'm saving my last kernels of RL-26 for my 25-06.

    25% off at SPS

Thanks I guess... Did I really need more bullets? No, but that didn't stop me from placing an order.

Need QL for 224 Valkyrie w/ 88gr. Hornady ELDM

Is Alliant 2000MR powder in the database? Time to see if I can get the rifle to perform as well as the RL-17 simulation. Much appreciated!!! John

Need QL for 224 Valkyrie w/ 88gr. Hornady ELDM

The rifle has a 20" 1/6.5" twist barrel and the COL would be 2.260" It shoots 80 gr. Berger VLDs really well, but it looks like the 88 gr. ELDM will do better at 1000 yards from a ballistics perspective. Thank you in advance. John

129 &142 ABLR slow and fast

I'm trying too use this same bullet in my CZ 527 Grendel, glad to see how it performs. I can get nearly 2500fps, but accuracy has eluded me. Did you have similar issues? I would appreciated any hints, tips, or load suggestions.

Need the benefit of Some ones "quick load". 100Gr BT/ IMR 4064

GRT shows 57k psi at the nominal cartridge values. Might be OK in a bolt gun, but wouldn't suggest it in a M99. John

Winchester Model 88 250 Savage Build

Winchester M88's in 358 are an incredible combination of rifle and cartridge. The only 358 downside is that all M88 barrels share the same contour, so the barrel heats up rapidly when you're at the range testing loads. I have a hunting grade M88 in 308 that I plan to have re-bored to 338-08/338...

    338 Win Mag

I guess I should have clearly stated that the powder discussed was RL-22.

    338 Win Mag

My 338 has a long throat, so my COL is 3.508" 72 gr. gives me 2650 fps I've loaded well above that just to see if there was an accuracy node to be had. I stopped at 75 gr. which did 2760 fps, but was too hot for use.

Exactly the same load in use to push 250 gr. NAB in my rifles.

Winchester Model 88 250 Savage Build

I have pre-64 Winchester 88s in every factory caliber. The triggers aren't the greatest, but they instinctively point like shotgun. Perfect for hunting in cover where quick shots are needed.

    Weird 7mm Mag load

I'm giving Lil' Gun a try in my 256 rifles to see how it compares to WW296. I'm fortunate that I have a scad of 25-20/256 bullets to work with.

    Weird 7mm Mag load

Here's my concluding post. On my last trip to the range I tried 26.0 and 27.0 gr. of Unique with the same 120 gr. Hornady SSP bullet. 26.0 gr. 2349 fps. 27.0 gr. 2398 fps. The goal was effectively achieved and accuracy at 50 yards was better than I expected.
