In my Remington 700 270 with a 24" barrel this delivers 0.5 MOA accuracy if I do my part:
130
Nosler BT
57.0
RL-17
Fed 210
Fed
3.378"
3234 fps
3020 ft-lbs
RL-22 runs about 100 fps slower and delivers 0.75 MOA accuracy.
For my LabRadar system, I went with a remote trigger and a LiPo power brick.
No way would I run it with AA batteries, as you would be buying a new set for every trip to the range.
I need to spend some time with it trying to measure 17 caliber bullets, but that might be a bright sunny day with...
I dipped into my last bottle of RL26 to see how it performed in the 24" barrelled Remington 700. This rifle has displayed sub-MOA accuracy with the 95 gr. TTSX and 130 gr. NBT bullets.
The load tried today used some 150 LRAB bullets I traded for seated at 3.492" OAL which has a .020" jump...
I've been using a CED chronograph for decades, but recently purchased a LabRadar. Part of this was due to the available light available at the local range, as the screen were almost only in the shadows except during mid-Summer. I was able to try a LabRadar before I purchased a unit, otherwise I...
This is the lowest online price I found, if they were in stock:

That amount x4 and actual shipping will get them in your hands.

My wife wanted the tree gone before this occurred, and the BMW dealership had already spent $65,000 towards the removal of tree, so I just had them call in an arborist to finish removing the tree and grinding the stump.
My rural front yard is a gathering place for cars as they don't respect the corner that is posted at 25 mph and I can easily drive my Honda Civic through at 45 mph without squealing or drifting. During the summer months the local kids turn my road into a raceway and I have been trained to know...
I purchased a large quantity of Barnes 95 gr. TTSX bullets from a commercial loaded years ago for use in my 6.8 SPC, only to find out they wouldn't cycle when loaded with AA2200 (the optimum powder). Then a couple weeks ago I stumbled onto a Remington M700 270 with a matte finish and wood...
The old Reminton Powerlokt HP had thin plated jackets and deliver excellent accuracy in my rifles. Tried them in a fast twist 223 and they would come apart before traveling 100 yards, but they were devistating when fired fired from a 10 twist barrel.
It was crafted by Larry Brace from the Eugene, who passed away about 10 years ago.
Larry was one of the founding members of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild ACGG and from this rifle it's easy to see why.
The action is Husqvarna and the caliber is 7x57mm
Much appreciated. It somewhat comforting to know that your simulations pretty well match up with those I did.
The accuracy node in my rifle seems to be between 15.5 and 16.0, so it's time to more closely explore that region.
I'm a believer that there isn't a free lunch so to say, and that higher than expected velocities come with higher than expected pressures.
I worked up the the Hodgdon maximum load and the accuracy was improving as the charge weight was increased. At 16 gr. the primers still looked normal, but...
