Thanks Don. I've had great results with 7828ssc in the 338-375 Ruger. Used it in the 300 RUM with 180gr SSTs at one time. Been one of the few powders i could find in the stores at any the time in the past few years. Thought about trying some H1000 in the 338 but, can't bring myself to keep...
Great shooting rifle Don! I'm using 83gr of 7828ssc with the 250 SMKs and 86gr with the 225 AB in the 338-375 Ruger.
Six shots at 100 yards with the 250s
I know! I know! Got a bad problem with 6mms  Guess I should give you guys the specs of the rifle also. It's was an Rem 700 SPS-V 243 that I had punched out to 243 AI, B&C Tactical stock, Kiplinger trigger, and Leupold VX-III 6.5-20. The 105 AMax is the bullet I use in it currently...
I consider my 300 RUM with 200 ABs going 3100+ "Do all" for most big game that I will ever hunt. Meat damaged has been minimal on the deer and hogs killed with it. It shoots those 200 grainers into bugholes were some guys are have a hard time getting them to shoot in 300 WSMs. Cool cartridge...
That was some interesting info for sure. I got the 6x47 Lapua and its one heck of a shooter. Just not much on getting another because of over a dollar per piece of brass. That 6mm Creedmoor has my attention.
Thinking about rebarreling the 243 AI in the near future but, don't if I will stick with the 243 AI or try something different. Would like to get away from the feeding issues with the 40° shoulder and the pain of fire forming. I plan on adding DBM bottom metal also which may help with feeding...
Yes it does, Doc!
Not even gonna touch that project. 27 Newton...... What will you think of next? That's about as bad as someone wanting to build a 30-375 Ruger
Not worried about the powder! Scotty would be surprised trying to get in the mancave  I really need to stop looking at load data and get rid of this new 243 WSSM.
Pics of the first hunt with the 6x47. Thought I had posted them but, somehow forgot back in January. Got a nice fat doe at 161 yards with the 105 Amax. Complete pass through behind the shoulder. The deer went 40-50 yards and piled up.
