    Bullet pullers

I have the RCBS as well and it works well. I've pulled a few hundred with it and have been happy with the results. I typically use one of my single stage presses because of the t-handle issue mentioned.

    MRP temperature sensitivity??

Some would say Rl22 is the second run of MRP. My data supports that with temperature sensitivity on RL22 but less so on MRP.

    WHITETAILS AND THE ACCUBOND ?

I've used a 140 AB at 2650 fps out of a 6.5x55 to down a red stag, a fallow deer, and several big sheep. Oh, yeah, and a few whitetails. They work great for me.

    tapped the trigger.

The 30-06 is fine, but you'll want 180 grainers in a premium bullet. I used a 9.3x62 for most of my game, and no shots were more than 200 yards. I'm headed back to Namibia next year. African game is tough, but not armor coated. Most North American hunters tend to shoot too high as the...

No, no, no. The correct number to carry is 11!

It is the .30-06 of the 6.5's?

    Who makes a modern 6.5x55?

Blaser, Sauer, and Mauser all have that chambering. It is a great caliber that gets the job done without fuss and drama.

    Weatherby 70th Anniversary rifle.

It should have been in 6.5 Weatherby. I'd bee all over that! "Anniversary model launches new caliber ..."

    norma MRP

I used it in place of RL-22 when RL-22 became scarce (it is the same powder, but is first run). It has a little variability in lot-to-lot (so does RL-22, of course) but no problems with temperature sensitivity. I use it in an assortment of 6.5x55's.

    Best all-around medium power cartridge

30-06 Ackley. It is one of the calibers that really benefits from being an Ackley.

    7mm-08

I did almost the same thing, except I found a featherweight in 6.5x55. I wouldn't hesitate to buy in either caliber.

    7mm Wby Range day - part 2

Two in, one out indicates the need for a shorter overall length. I think that the 71 grain load will dial in.

Worst deer season in 25 years.

EHD can wipe out a herd while leaving another 3 miles away untouched. It is strange. I've seen the effects on my trips to Montana and some areas were really wiped out and others with more deer than ever. Blue tongue doesn't seem as widespread as EHD. The higher elevation deer are less affected...

Antelope success in WY. Pic heavy

Looks like a great hunt and you'll get the wind in no time. It helps to be able to practice in it. I'm curious how you found the ranch? I'm always interested in how people do these things.

Toning it down in the future?

There are a lot of prairie dogs that need shooting. The ultimate reactive target. I look forward to an annual 3 day excursion where I will easily burn 800-1,000 rounds. I don't intend to have anything more mounted. I'm not really a trophy hunter but did mount some of my take from Africa and...
