A friend bought a old Rem 700 25/06 I had that was just collecting dust, so I'm going to get the Hawkeye. I have several No. 1 rifles but none of the 1st Gen Express rifles, this will likely segway into a start of that collection.

I don't need a "magnum" and I'm a Ruger guy... how about now? I love the look of the pseudo Express rifles with sights and the 20" barrel. That or the No. 1A is what I'm gonna get. I've already got a myriad of rifles to shoot deer and elk with so this would just add on to the pile.
Those 120 grain Ballistic Tips are seriously tough bullets, way tougher than any Sierra. I've mainly been using the 130 AB in my Creedmoor, but shot a few Mule deer with the 120 BT in my 6.5x55 with complete pass through on broadside lung shots.
