You can seat longer than max COAL but you need to know where the lands are and your maximum magazine length.
I load my M700 Classic 257 Roberts to a COAL of 2.900". My rifle is a long/magnum action which allows for the longer COAL.

I built my 40'x60'x14' pole barn almost 6 years ago and finally got around to getting the inside heated and finished off.

I love mine. As stated, no shell holders, set and forget die adjustment, swap dies in a couple seconds and the camming force is second to none.
I think it's worth it.

I've used both 150 gr BT and 165/168 gr BT and 168 gr ABLR in the 308 Win on WT deer. Here are my findings...
150 gr BT -
Shot 4-5 crop damage deer from 100-300 yards. All bullets exited and they were DRT.
165 gr BT-
Shot 2 bucks at 50 and 100 yards. Both ran ~50 yards from heart shots. Easy...
