SPS is one of the few I don’t have to argue with to put bullets and brass in the mail. Of course that doesn’t work for live ammo but we all know that. I have had excellent service. Hope your situation is resolved to your satisfaction.
I suspect there would be need for a real recoil lug incorporated into the conversion as well as a heavier stock. Should be about 9# all in to be tolerable. At least for me. Haha.
Rant:

Tikkas are fantastic. The Finns do not abide mediocre performance in rifles. They work in conditions where many of our NA designs fail. I have one that I rebarreled to .338 Federal and I am psyching up to one in .416 Taylor.
Are you stripping the bolt to check the headspace? Speaking for myself only, it’s hard to get a good feel for it otherwise. Unlikely but the Nosler ammo could be long. I’d shoot it before I went at it with a reamer.
Sure. I shot benchrest years ago when I lived in the more uncivilized part of the USA haha. This rest came recommended by the fella that built my rifle and showed me the ropes. It was expensive even then as I recall. It followed me to Alaska. I don’t use it. I should sell it, probably...
I recently took a small dog with a 85gr Sierra out of my 6x45 moving at a modest 2650. Behind the shoulder, caliber size entrance maybe a 3/4” exit. No problem with sewing that up.
