ok- Just ordered 2 pack or 100 of the 35 whelen brass. I wanted something different from the remington brass I have so I know it is new.

Thebear_78 Especially when paired with the right reticle like a german #4 or my favorite close range reticle the german #1 post. Like the way you think Thebear_78. I have a leupold 2-7 with german post #2 on my whelen. its my favorite reticle. Wish Premier Reticle still did work on Leupolds...

I have used nosler 2nd bullets, but never their 2nds brass. Just wondering if its good, thought I would ask because I'm sure some of you have.

I got it yesterday and started scrubbing on the barrel, beautiful on the outside, but I'm afraid it is pitted on the inside. I can kinda see rifling. Only paid 80.00 so not out a lot. Any trick to clean the barrel up? Anyone ever mount a peep sight on one of these?

never had a problem in my converted 760- and it loved near max load of rl15 & blc2 w 250 grn. The lower loads never grouped as tight

checked the barrel code- looks to be a 1992 gun- the yr I graduated High School

like everyone else has said- My experience with elk- I think a 165 or 180 is a better ideal for elk.

Barrel to action is tight, happens with any make of ammo- federal, winchester, or remington. I'm wondering if its the bolt. Guess if it comes down to it I still have my rem. 513 matchmaster, with all kind of us property stampings on it. and a reason to start looking for a new 22.
