OP, I can't help you with your questions, but something you Said caught my eye. Can you explain this:
"Specifically, I reload so I really need to be able to get a stripped bolt."
Maybe I'm the uninformed one, but I don't get the connection between reloading and stripping the bolt. I've been...
Since a couple of you have suggested using the Sierra BC, here's a question that I can't answer:
The BC for the 200gr Sierra RN is listed as .148. But the BC of the 200gr Hornady RN Interlock is listed as .195. These bullets have the same sectional density and a very similar external profile...
I'm working on some loads for my Henry 360 Buckhammer. It looks like I found a node that's about 2250 fps, give or take a bit. You may recall that I reported some dissatisfaction with the Speer 180gr bullets I used for deer season last year, so I'm switching to these lead hollow points instead...
Anyone know where I can find the BC for cast bullets? Specifically, I'm looking for a 200gr .358/.359, with hollow point. Like this:
Not that I'll be shooting bench rest with it or anything, just want to calculate the bullet drop for my scope's holdover marks.
Thanks in advance.

The turkey hunting has been pretty bad here in my little corner of Kentucky for about the last 5 years or so. You would go out and sit for several hours in the morning and be lucky to even hear a gobble, much less see one. The last bird I killed was in 2017. Well, maybe we've turned a corner on...
As Guy mentioned, the Hodgdon data tends to be a fair bit warmer than virtually every other source. Personally, my loads for IMR 4198 and 300gr bullets tend to fall in between the "trapdoor" and "lever" loads from Hodgdon, but they are well within or even above the "lever" loads from the other...
Hypothetically, of course...accuracy is all about barrel harmonics. If you change the physical characteristics of the barrel, the harmonics will definitely be affected. No telling how much.
Meh, don't care. He admitted on the stand, under oath, that he did what he is accused of doing. He can rot as far as I'm concerned, and all his enablers with him.
Everybody wants to "drain the swamp" in Washington and ignore the cesspool in their own backyard. The NRA leadership had decades to...
It has to be a total ban or it won't work. If I can't buy a Chevy truck, I can make do with a Ford, Dodge, or Toyota. But if none of those are available to me, then I'm going to be hurting the next time I need to haul something. She concept for guns and ammo.
Actually, I have a better solution to the liberal states and their gun laws. ALL of the weapons and ammunition manufacturers should refuse to sell any of their product to any police department or other government agency in that state. I mean absolutely nothing. No handguns, long guns, duty ammo...
