Rich My buddy just started to load the 168gr bergers in his 7mm ultra. I know he is having excellent results. He is using retumbo and is loaded off the lands about .100 or so. He is shooting a M700 sendero.
I have found that the wet naps from say a gas station or resturant work better than a baggie with wipes. That way you have individual packaged wipes! I also have a space blanket in mine incase I have an unexpected night stay. Looks like you take about everything I do.
That was an amazing story! Have to say it took me right back to my hunt this year near Newcastle, WY. I am assuming you are hunting close to gillette. Send me a PM if you would like to talk about the hunt some more.

Nitis I have had great success with the 100gr TTSX. I am waiting til after season to start loading some 110 accubonds. I am using ramshot Magnum but also tried H1000. Both shoot under 3/4. The main thing with a WBY is the seating depth. I usually got by .005 when making adjustments. Good luck...
Hey guys! Thanks for the replies. I was just making sure I was doing the correct thing in backing down by at least a grain. The load we had was kinda hot so I might even go 1 1/2 gr. I would never just load something the same when changing componets and shoot it. I have weighed some lapua cases...
Hey guys! A buddy of mine has been loading for his 30-06 using hornady brass. He just bought some Lapua brass and I know the general rule is to lower your load and then work up. Do we need to start over or just load what he already has found to work. Currently shooting 50.0 gr of IMR 4064 with...
Thanks for the info mike.. I am using federal brass for my 243, 270. 30-06. I have noticed this brass is not the most consistent in weight, neck thickness. etc. The norma brass for my weatherbys is much nicer. I was going to buy nosler brass for all others but was considering the lapua now that...
Hey guys! Just wondering what the advantages/disadvantages are of annealing a case. My buddy just bought some lapua brass and i know it comes annealed. I am considering buying new brass and just checking things out! What kinda of brass does everyone use?
Thanks Guys. I do have the sweets 7.62 and it works wonders on all my rifles for copper. This one rifle is just stubborn. Gets fouled so quickly. I think I may scrub it some more and get it as clean as possible then try the one shot scrub break in for 20 shots n see what happens.. Might just buy...
Antelope Im not sure how it was broke in. My dad had the rifle for a bit. Should i just clean and clean it and then start from scratch breaking it in? what do you recommend?
JD My bore seems to be a bit rough even after a good cleaning. Do you think JB paste will be good to smooth it out and help it foul less or are those tubb final finish bullets better?
JD How do I go about using the bore paste and where might I get some? I assume its a smoothing compound that you apply to the bullet? The rifle does shoot pretty accurately just fouls very bad after about 4 or 5 shots. Thanks for the help guys!
Thanks! I do use Sweets to clean the cooper out. Thats when I found it was really copper fouled. I have shot close to 125 rounds through this gun also. How does the JB bore paste work. I have a feeling this barrel is a little rough.
Hey guys! Ive recently got into reloading and just now started to reload my Browning A bolt in 270win. I have noticed that this rifle copper fouls a lot more than my other rifles Im loading for. I usually have to spend twice as long cleaning it as any other. Was wondering what you guys thought...
Jerry I have been considering the E Tip for my CA hunting bullet. I havent loaded anything for my 270 yet for CA. I mostly use it for out of state but if the etip does shoot like that then maybe Ill have one load for all. What grains do they offer in 270?
Thanks POP! I do have retumbo and RL25...
Thanks for the help guys! 57.5gr of h4831sc and 140gr accubonds gave me under 1". I am playing with COL right now to tighten it some more. Thanks again. Ill post pics after this weekends range trip.
Jerry Thanks for the info. I just started working up this load and have found that 58.5gr shoots pretty well. Just wanted to play with COL to tighten it to about 1/2" if i can. Thanks again
Jerry. Was wondering what COL you were loading in that browning? I am shooting a browning 270 with the 140gr accubonds and playing with the COL right now. Thanks
