    testshooting the .577/500 H&H

Thanks folks!. Shooting with these old rifles is so many parameters(variables) that must work in context. Just about anything have an influence like the component from bullet lube, lead hardness, lead bullet size and shape, bulletweight, powder, filler, crimping, primer, seating depth to how...

    testshooting the .577/500 H&H

yesterday I went shooting the gun and had time to experiment. It was very hot in the weather and shooting the rifle made the barrels blistering.. Just before my first shots . Here the target. I tried at 25 paces offhand first to see if the gun was within minut-of-barndoor. My very two...

    Pressurepoint in the forearm.

Inspired by Fotis I added a pressure point on my .270Wea and .240Wea. My .270Wea did have a forearm pressurepoint when it left the gunmakers but was later removed(by me) and groups open more. Did a Little testshooting here this prevoius weekend and at 100meters. My 3 first shots printed...

    22 Hornet or 222 Rem?

I think the .22Hornet comes to charm in a slim, trim breakbarrel actioned rifle. I would take the .222Remington at any day for the hayfield.

    Rounded out the pre64 battery ( 300H&H)

Hey Pat!. Thanks for sharing your fine collection. What a great find you have done there. Unfortunatly the Pre-64 Winchesters are extremely rare over here in this part of the World or there would have been a few more in my volt. A pre-war .220Swift, 300H&H or .375H&H is three M70s I would...

    348 Winchester RL17 250 grain Woodleigh

Great shooting. The .348WCF has always been some kind of an outsider in the Winchester lineup. However the huntingreports one can read of people who use it swear by it. This is one Winchester caliber I haven´t yet any experience with...Yet!. Thanks for sharing & inspiration!.

    26 Nosler Wildcats

The 7mm/26 or .284/26 Nosler is merely the 7x66Vom Hofe. I still suspect Nosler to have used the Vom Hofe as their platform for the .26N. The .375/26 Nosler could become a resemblance of the 9,5x66 Vom Hofe or .375 Westley Richards. The .338/26 Nosler would copy the .338 Blaser Magnum to...
