Yep that will work! And that old Speer bullet has been around for years, with its 446 BC it has a proven track record on big game. Should make a great little 243 for us. Brookies are biting, better get back to fishing!

Found an old 243 load, we had for 100gr Speer BT, that used 40.5gr of WW 760 so decided to load up a box........ I set the trigger down to 40 oz, and went out to see how it would shoot, that handload. I think it is going to work. What say " the jury" ???

My 30/06 with Hornady Superformance chronographed about identical, to my friends 300 H&H that was shooting standard factory loads. Of course the H&H could be loaded to trim the 06, BUT with Superformance in an 06 you really have a LT Magnum......... believe it or not, as Ripley would say! E

Over the years we guided Sheep hunters in the Brooks Range, the .243 was always a top performer on Rams with lots of instantaneously kills. You really couldn't ask for better sheep caliber. But I realize most folks today think you need a Howitzer........

I realized I forgot to comment on trigger pull right of the box, was 2lb 14oz with NO creap.... My Superlite I bought last July came thru at 4.5lbs ....which I had to adjusted down to 3lbs before I ever shot it. It shoots fine for hunting 1.25" with factory Hornady ammo, but is not in bussiness...
