    Why not a 300 WSM?

I was an early adopter of the 300 WSM in 2001. It is in my opinion the best cartridge created in the last several decades. Excellent selection of factory ammo, super versatile, easy to load for, short action, and good for any NA game you would want to hunt, even toothy ones with 200-220grs. my...

    6.5 PRC...is no one intrigued?

Some valid points. capacity with a 140 class bullet puts it even with the 6.5-06 IN A SHORT ACTION. With factory rifles and factory ammo. I love the design and the capabilities it presents. its the 6.5 Rem Mag reincarnated with a better body this time!

    6.5 PRC...is no one intrigued?

Being a 6.5 junkie I sure am. 2960 for the 143gr and 2910 for the 147gr. factory loads and these seem to be light as Copper Creek is listing 3050 for the 143gr out of a 24". Hornady's own load data shows it topping out at 3150ish with 140-143 and 3050ish with the 147 out of a 26", still seems...

    120 Grain E-Tips

I would like to see a 140gr E-Tip in 6.5. I am surprised they don't because Barnes only does 100,120 and 127 in theirs so it would have its own market.

    New (old) wheel guns

Though i own an L frame(6" 686) I feel that the K frame is the best wheel gun that Smith produced. Perfect combo of size power and accuracy. The 19 and 66 are as perfect as a double action six guns get. The new versions of the 66/69 released a few years ago are on my radar to acquire. The ball...

Montana Rifle Co X2....is now becoming the X3

Hey all, I haven't posted in quite a while but I have lurked. i wanted to let you guys know some news about the MRC X3 soon to be the X3. If you remember I was one of the first adopters of the 26 Nosler NOT on a Nosler 48 platform. I ordered an X2 from MRC in December '14 and received the...

    I had to do it

That is fine accuracy in anybody's book lefty. The Federal HST is a very respectable one and is no slouch at 890fps. I have been using Hornady XTP +P 230s for a long time now, they are doing 950 and are quite snappy but accuracy is top notch in my pistol. I have recently tried the Nosler Defense...

    I had to do it

Lefty, It is well known on here I am a 1911 snob, I always say there are two kinds of pistols, A 1911 and everything else. There is a reason it was our military sidearm for 75 yrs, a reason that the Marine Corps went back to it(the M45A1). It just works period. I have 2 now, a 3in 9mm...

6.5 Creedmoor...you guys are going to get me in trouble

Honestly I don't NEED another rifle as the 26 Nosler will do anything I want to way out past normal hunting ranges. A member here posted that his son downed a moose at over 400 yards with the 26N and 140gn bullet, a pass through or maybe under the off side hide I cant remember but that is saying...

6.5 Creedmoor...you guys are going to get me in trouble

So with all of the Creedmoor talk and the fine groups and easy to reload talk has got me the bug for one I think, you rifle loonies are enablers. Having a 26 Nosler and loving it I am finding that itch for a "little" 6.5. I have owned and reloaded for both the Swede and the .260 and know what...

    1911 set... Hmmm...

I have a Springfield RO(45) and a Kimber Ultra Carry SS(9mm) 5" and 3" respectively. I will be adding a Commander length likely a Kimber Pro and am DROOLING for a 1911 in 10mm. Rock Island makes a 4.25 10mm but I'm not a fan. Ruger just released a 5" stainless SR1911 with target sights in 10mm...

    Silly accurate

Fantastic shooting on your part. Savages will never win any beauty contest and are often looked down upon by owners of Remington and Winchesters but I have an early production 16 in 300 WSM that is hands down the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. it will shoot 130's to 200s giving...

    Canadian sniper sets world record

3450m beating the previous record by 1000m plus, all I can say is WOW. Shot with a McMillian TAC-50. So that means Canadian snipers now hold 3 of the 5 longest recorded sniper kills, the other 2 a Brit and an American.
