I used to have a great load for my Big 8, with Winchester Magnum Rifle Powder. But they don't make it any more. Then I switched to Accurate 8700, another good load. I never tried the Accubond, just the Partition.
I didn't load that lite of a bullet, when I loaded for the one I had. I think I only tried loading 65, 70, and 80 grain pills. Settled on the 70 grain. Traded that rifle for a wall tent, a few years ago. Sorry I wasn't much help.
Years ago I was working out of Redding California, and got the chance to go shoot a few pigs, with a local shooter. We set buy this water hole and waited. I was shooting my .270 Winchester, in a Featherweight. I was shooting 150 PT. and had trouble getting all the way through them. We shot...
Funny you should mention Leadville, I wintered there, working at Climax. Seen fox in town almost every day. I have a toy Aussie, and she got bit in the back leg by a fox. Sure made her wary about going out in the dark alone.
I shot a black coyote in Utah, over by Kinnacot. Skinned it and...
The few times I've hunted in the "Rain Forest", I used a S&W 629 Classic Deluxe, with a 8 3/8" barrel in .44 magnum. The first picture would have gotten the pistol drawn. And the second picture would have got him neck broke, right above the sholder, with a 300 grain hard cast bullet. Been a...
I thought I already posted this, but I don't see it. Talk about trigger control.
My Father had a Model 70 in .300 H&H, that he killed everything with. One time I seen him shoot it out the pasenger window of the Stock Truck, with one hand. He was shooting at a Coyote, but he hit right under...
Guy, I got the jugs saved up, now to get time to go home and test the bullets I made for the .44 Mag. The bullet is a Elmer design. I run them hard and hot.
I am haveing a .338 Norma Mag built, by a guy in Wyoming. The build is taking a little while because of the lack of funds, but we are about ready to mount the glass. I will like to try the 300 grain Accubonds.
Theres a lot to say about healing. I have been doing and trying for 39 years. Hardest thing is when people who wern't there telling you, "I understand what your going through." So many Vets, get the help they need from other Vets. It depends on how you were raised, I think.
Hey I hope your...

I think you will be wasting your money.
I always pack, depends on the season, as to what I carry. If it's bird season I carry a S&W 317,in .22 LR. But I always have a Winchester 30-30 Trapper in the scabbard. With the 16" barrel its pretty handy. Off season I carry a S&W 360 in .357, and during the fall and winter I pack a S&W 329...
