I have a dual cylinder black hawk and the 45acp cylinder has never been used. I like rcbs 275 grn cast bullet with either longshot, or power pistol. I save 45 acp ammo for my 1944 1911a1.
I have used it in 30/06 w great results. Tried it in 22/250 but didn't get as good of groups as with varget. I really like ramshot powders. I like true blue in pistols-9mm, 38 spec, 44 special, 45acp, 45 colt. I run Magnum in my 264 wm. Ramshot powders burn very clean.
I just ordered a NOE version of the ranchdog bullet. 178 grn gc. I cast a lee 158 grn plain base for 38's.

Nice, I have a leupold vIII 1.5-5 on my guide gun, but that might change to a 3x leupold I just picked up with german post #2 reticle. I love the small scopes of that style on marlins
It's still waiting to be shipped to me. Can't wait to get it. My winning bid was 450.00. And think I did good for what JM Marlins are going for, let alone the cowboy models.
SO I won an online auction for a JM- 1894 marlin CB 357 with 24" barrel. So I already reload 38 specials with 158/160 grn swc plain base that I cast, and I have 3k wadcutters I was given for free. They both shoot great in my S&W heavy duty 38/44. Anyone one out there have info on 1894 marlin...
Just wondering if anyone has a good elk load for 264wm, I will be using 140 grn partitions, with either retumbo or r.s. magnum. Might be hunting idaho this yr and know shots will be longer than western oregon.
I have a 760 that was rechambered by a previous owner and a 7600 that I couldn't pass up. Love the whelen in a pump gun. Great for Elk in the timber of western Or.
A co-worker/friend hadn't hunted since he was a kid but 3 years ago wanted to get back into it. last year he used his sister-in law's 270. His Sister got him a Savage 270 this past year. He wanted a 270 since thats what his dad used. I got a scope mounted on it for him and loaded him up some...
