I hear you- I have had the same experience with my 264- tried both 7828 and r25 nothing impressive- Magnum powder worked a lil better for accuracy- I would like to find a powder that works great

125, 130 & 140 grn bullets

So if you had to choose one powder for 264 win mag what would it be?

I really don't like the feel of AR's, but a lot of people love them. I'm an owner of 4 Garands an a carbine- so I say M1A nm since you already load for it and it is a very accurate weapon.

my tried and true powder for whelen was blc2 until I tried rl15. I bought rel 15 when I couldnt find blc2.

ya I would use that in my 264 wm- make a great antelope bullet.

a 350-380 grn part or ab bullet for 45-70. and anything for 264 and 35 whelen. The 264 120 grn ab would be great for antelope

I'm definitely going to buy some retumbo- I have a good supply of 125 &140 part and some 130 ab's. My 264 rifle is the rem 700 se cdl w/26" barrel.

I tried rl25, and never got good groups- I'm using ramshot magnum and its ok-I have just heard retumbo mentioned on here with the 264 before and thought I might pick up some and try it.
