    use to hunt with a 25 WSSM alot, saw the exact same results with with the 110 accubond as the 115 gr. BT, and will say this afteer taking hundreds of deer, there is no better whitetail bullet than the 115 BT at 3000 fps.

    never ceases to amaze me that folks leave a scope set on a rifle for years, with steel on steel adjustments. Then are surprised cause the adjustments are sticky, I always move them alot more than needed, then move them back. The more you spin them knobs the better they track!

    how much will shortening the barrel 2" lighten it? every oz. off the muzzle will make it more butt heavy, which IMO makes them more diffacult to shoot well from field positions.

    old thread but will add your bear was hibernating, their heartbeat slows to around 8 BPM, dogs have a hard time smelling them in that state due to not making much scent. have had hounds walk right past hibernating bears without smelling them, and struggle to locate them if they do get a whiff...
