    165gr Core-Lokt vs Hog

I've also loaded 165gr Accubonds in a 30-06 with a similar velocity for a friend. He put down two large hogs with two shots in about 3 seconds. My go to load in my 30-06 Encore pistol is the 150gr AB or PT.

    Best 20 for the money

I'll second the Yildiz. A buddy got one of their 20 ga O/U's and its been a sweet shooter. No issues with it and he's shot a ton of skeet using it. Hard to beat for the price.

.260 and 140 grain partition do it again.

    Awesome! I loved the 125gr Partition & 130gr Accubond when I had a 260 Encore pistol.

    Big Doe with 10mm

Excellent, well done! That's on my list for next deer season to get a deer with my 10mm Sig.

    300 Win Mag / H4831 / 200 Accubonds test

A 200gr 30 cal bullet at those speeds is hauling the mail for sure. It looks like almost every batch had very consistent velocity. I'd back off the 76gr charge since you're seeing ejector marks. Despite what QL says, your rifle may be at its max pressure for that combo. I think I'd play around...

    165gr Core-Lokt vs Hog

Honestly I was surprised the bullet came apart like that since I'm sure the muzzle velocity wasn't over 2500 fps out of that short barrel. It definitely hit a lot more resistance than your deer though. I wonder what the impact velocity was for your deer at 250 yards? I have a friend and all...

    165gr Core-Lokt vs Hog

I think nearly any bullet can have a bad day, but the premium bullets like Partitions, Accubonds etc just do it a lot less often. That being said, that was a pretty tough test for a bullet. A big hog shoulder and its shield, which was over an inch thick, is tough stuff! I've heard so many people...

    165gr Core-Lokt vs Hog

This is a recovered 165gr Core-lokt from a factory load shot from a 15" barreled Encore pistol in 30-06. This was one of the few animals I've shot in the last couple decades with a factory load. I ended up grabbing a box because the person I bought this barrel from said it was a consistent 3/4"...

Adding a 260 Remington to the safe

Lol, if he couldn't get it done with the first two, I don't think 10 more would've helped 😅

    What did Santa bring you?

Would love to see one of those put into some jugs.

    What did Santa bring you?

I got a pair of Lacrosse Alpha Burly boots, solar panel for one of my Tactacams, sling for my x-bolt & some 150gr ABLR's in 6.5.

Adding a 260 Remington to the safe

When I had a 260 in an Encore pistol with 15" barrel, I was very fond of the 125gr Partition and 130gr Accubond, both over H4350. Puts a hurtin' on deer & hogs.

308 Winchester 165 gr Solid Base Whitetail Country

Nice to see on game results! I'm assuming a pretty good blood trail, though the snow definitely helps?

Prepping for night hunting in early January with a SP

I know what you mean! I pistol hunt a little bit but might as well be using a slingshot compared to Ernie!

Hornady 200gr Interlock RN from .35 Rem

The 200gr Interlock RN in the .35 Remington is becoming one of my favorite bullets. I have these loaded over IMR3031, Hornady brass, CCI primer & crimped with the Lee FCD. I haven't chronoed this load but I'd guess around 2000 fps. It shoots into 1.5 inches or less in my Marlin 336. I put one...

    Preferred handgun hunting bullet?

Do you mean Lyman 429421? I've had good accuracy but wasn't super impressed with their performance on deer. Definitely worked but if I use them again, I'm going to try and put it through both shoulders.

    Preferred handgun hunting bullet?

Both those bullets should serve you well Slimfinn. That's a good looking handgun.

    Turkeys, turkeys everywhere!

We're covered up in turkeys right now as well. Most won't be around when you can actually shoot them, par for the course.
