Bringing this back up again. Today I had back to back groups with the 250gr SP with W748 that I can live with. This rifle just has a hard time with that Hornady bullet.

Congrats on the moose. That bullet did its job , good expansion at 200+.

Not sure how a 80,000psi cartridge chambered by multiply manufactures wouldn’t have issues. Tolerances can vary between them causing extraction problems.

Little update - I added a Vortex Viper red dot today on a barrel mount. Looks weird on there but it works for me. Couple of targets from this evening.

If I didn’t have so doggone many bullets I would give them a whirl.

I’ve never found the need to load past 2.800” for the 7-08. What bullets are you looking to load for it?

Most Wbys solve that problem with their massive amount of freebore😉

Ruger’s plastic rotary mag does suck. My daughter’s 22-250 is hard for her to load and doesn’t feed worth a crap. Ruger does offer a single shot mag kit for short actions. They claim any AR/AI mag with work with the new mag well. Might want to check with Ruger to see if it will work with the...

Don’t have a Rum , but I would lean towards H1000 or Retumbo. My 340 Wby is a little less case size loves RL-26 behind 225-250gr bullets.

The calibers I’ve tried Partitions in never liked to be pushed hard. Shot best at a mid range pressure level.

I have a dehumidifier 5’ from my reloading bench. Never had any rust issues as of yet.

Haven’t used the 200gr AB in a 30-06 but 200gr + bullets RL-17 , RL-22 , and N555 have worked for me. Still have to try Superformance yet.
