    ATTN: Nosler

I’ve tried to get the ablr to shoot in 6.5, 7mm; 308 (in three different cartridges), 338. Gave up on all. Conversely I have good loads in all those with the regular AB.

    8mm magnum hammer hunters

That looks great Fotis. The big 8 is a hell of a cartridge, with that bullet every thing everywhere would be in trouble.

Twist rate for .257 115 to 130 monos; 257 AI

My #1 is very accurate with 100 gr BT. Ok with 110gr Accubonds but they have been hard to find. The rifle really doesn’t care for anything 115 or higher. Best I can tell it is 1/10. She liked the 92 gr. Hammer as well. This particular rifle really only shoots the 100gr BT well, 3/4 moa...

Twist rate for .257 115 to 130 monos; 257 AI

Sending off my ruger 257 roberts for a new barrel, I never should have bought a bore scope. Anyway going to have PAC NOR make me a 257 AI. Looking at 6 months out. Want to be able to shoot the heavier monos perhaps. Thinking on a 1/8.5 instead of the standard 1/10. What say you all?

    it ends in 11, but isn't a 19 or 20

During my career I was fortunate to serve as a firearms instructor. Early on I recognized that a single platform; Sig, Colt, Glock or Springfield was often not the best solution for everyone. Those in my chain of command did not share my perspective but through persistence we eventually had...

    Cancer Update

Cancer update: When I left for Montana about two weeks ago my son in law was headed to Boise for another follow up on his cancer. When I got home tuesday I learned the test showed the cancer is back. They have recommended surgery as soon as possible. That will be early December we hope. They...

    SoDak West River Buck

Well done, love that country though I’ve yet to hunt deer there. For a number of years we made an annual pilgrimage to SD for pheasants and such. Could not believe the numbers of deer we saw. Perfect looking bullet.

    Itinerary Change

I’ll be in Tucson probably before Christmas. We were trying to leave before thanksgiving but things change. In any event I’ll get in touch and we can compare notes. I am also heading over in May. Get well soon.

    6.5x55 does it again...on a 10 pt

The hunt was a bit like the end of your hunt Dan. My buddy and I had worked up a ridge, great Mule deer country. Scattered Ponderosa pine, bitter brush, some true fir and lodgepole pine. We had climbed up opposite spines to about 6500 feet where we joined up and started working along a long...

That is a dandy. I gotta get into whitetail hunting a little more. We saw quite a few on our Montana trip last week, they are so sneaky compared to elk or mule deer.
