it ends in 11, but isn't a 19 or 20

i usually don't spend over a thousand bucks for any semiauto pistol, but just said "why not" and bought it. since it doesn't have the typical 19 or 2011 grip angle it should work fine for my wrists. i didn't pay what their site list as price (thank God for that) which was $300+ less and no tax, shipping or cc fees, so that even made it cheaper. hopefully it'll be here next week as no tracking provided so far. comes with 5 mags, bag, 3 optic plates and compatible with some p320 parts (mag catch/release & guiderod iirc). 1 thing for sure, if it doesn't work out for me i have 6 kids that at least 1 would love it. the wife isn't much into firearms, but does want to learn how to shoot. maybe that'll be a start!

Not a fan of that look. Will stick with my traditional 1911’s. Hopefully it functions great , fits and serves you well.

No !!!! Looks like Taurus and Hi Point had a Baby together.
TRY MORE OF THIS............HY-11 or 19-point................1911 grip angle don't work for my wrists. i gave it a thousand round try and blamed the 45acp for the issue.............found out about 30 years later when i bought a g21 that the 45acp wasn't to blame, it was the 1911 instead. 1911's work for many people, but i'm not 1 of those. plus i'm not a fan of a grip safety........just another downfall that doesn't work for me and i have 2 xdm's that have grip safeties..................don't shoot those much better, but the the grip angle works better..................shoot what works for you and maybe there are lots of different brands with different grip angle that work for you...........................i'm fairly good with many different semi-auto handguns as long as none of them have the 1911 grip angle..............don't hate the type, just can't shoot 1 too save my life.

I agree 100% that the grip needs to fit you. The 1911 grip works well for me, even my 5ft tall Wife shoots my 1911’s well whether it’s a 380,9mm or 45. I am one of those that hate the Glock grip and I own one that I carry when I am working in dirty nasty stuff because it’s reliable and I don’t care if it gets abused. Not everyone can have my exquisite taste in guns if they did we would only have 1911’s and Ruger #1’s.

Interesting pistol! There are many cool varieties of what is essentially the 2011 platform. Let us know how it shoots. Putting a red dot on it?

During my career I was fortunate to serve as a firearms instructor. Early on I recognized that a single platform; Sig, Colt, Glock or Springfield was often not the best solution for everyone. Those in my chain of command did not share my perspective but through persistence we eventually had Glock 17, 22 and 21 to choose from. In time I promoted to Lieutenant eventually convincing the chief we needed more options. He agreed and among others, I was able to bring 1911s on board. I was surprised how many officers chose the 1911 platform largely because those who tested them shot the 1911 better in drills and scenario based training. We didn’t have unique number of officer involved shootings but comparing the effectiveness of the 1911 to the Glocks was simple. Good guys won-bad guys lost; detectives were happy because there were fewer spent cases or errant rounds to look for.
A defensive pistol requires careful consideration next to reliability natural point ability is the second most important is natural pointability. Almost like shotgun fit, at defensive shooting distance the pistol should point where you are looking. With a Glock I tend to shoot low. I have little experience with the 2011 pistols. They are certainly well dressed. Me, I’ll generally carry a 1911, second choice is a Glock being quite use to them.
I only own one bolt action center fire rifle, the rest are number 1s there is something to be said about those that stand the test of time.

Valid points Don. My favorite defense gun is my Kimber Tactical Pro II 45 ACP. It has a great feel, points where I'm looking and makes me look like a better shooter than I am. 😁
