Greetings from another 416 Taylor owner. GRT shows these max loads with a 25.5" barrel: 72.0 IMR 4064 2527 fps 73.0 IMR 4166 2528 fps 79.0 RS Big Game 2560 fps If you can find some RL-17 it really makes the Taylor hum.

5.5 lbs according to a different spec sheet I found. If you were looking for a compact rifle for a float plane, it might have a purpose. Personally I'd opt for an additional 18 ounces and take my Rem 700 Ti in 7mm-08

Interesting in that the real world difference of the head diameter between the .470" of the 9.3x62mm and the .473" of the 30-06 is on paper rather than reality. As an example: US manufactured commercial brass measures a bit larger, but I've not seen any larger than .470"

I'm running 57.0 gr. of RL-17 with the 130 gr. BT at a LOA of 3.378 in my 24" barrel M700 and getting 3234 fps and 1/2 MOA accuracy. I'm saving my last kernels of RL-26 for my 25-06.

The rifle has a 20" 1/6.5" twist barrel and the COL would be 2.260" It shoots 80 gr. Berger VLDs really well, but it looks like the 88 gr. ELDM will do better at 1000 yards from a ballistics perspective. Thank you in advance. John

I'm trying too use this same bullet in my CZ 527 Grendel, glad to see how it performs. I can get nearly 2500fps, but accuracy has eluded me. Did you have similar issues? I would appreciated any hints, tips, or load suggestions.

GRT shows 57k psi at the nominal cartridge values. Might be OK in a bolt gun, but wouldn't suggest it in a M99. John
