I'm pleased to see some positive chit chat about the solid base bullets, they were a favorite of mine. Glad to see them make a comeback and I hope it is a successfull one. Maybe Nosler will choose to load the Whitetail ammo in 7mm Rem Mag in either the 150 or 162gr.

I never found the 60 gr to have too much expansion. It did very well in chest shots and I don't recall any that didn't exit.

That's the way I used it.

I used that bullet in my 220 swift back in the eighties. I took several white tail deer as well as javelina and coyotes. I'd use them for deer today if Nosler still made 'em.

Does turkey tag cook up any better than deer or elk tag? I've gotten pretty good with deer and elk.

I didn't mention the binoculars I use. I have a 10x50 BassPro binocular that's actually a pretty fair glass. It's good for about 80% of the day. The first and last 20 minutes of legal hours they're useless. I upgraded to a Leupold 12x50 that are good for 1/2 hour before and after shooting...
