That is a handsome bullet and well cast. What mold is that? I haven't run any cast through my rifles yet, even though I have a batch of RCBS 200-FN cast up for my .35 Rem. I just need to size and load them. Only time I've ever really had any leading was from undersized bullets.

A new Marlin 1894 in .41 Mag. I'm not too picky on configuration but an octagon barrel would be sweet or a round 18" threaded barrel. Since I'm dreaming, perhaps a Springfield Waypoint with carbon fiber barrel in 6 or 25 Creedmoor.

Excellent hunt and a great buck taken with a classic rifle/cartridge combo.

I haven't done much testing but have used CCI, Winchester, Federal, Remington and Magtech in that order of most to least. I've never had a bad result with any. I like Federal and CCI but will get whatever is available. Dad always chose CCI's.

Interesting old buck! I have a pair of fox squirrels around one of my stands and they are noisy SOB's. Ours are gray all over with similar facial coloring to yours though.

Old thread that was resurrected. The Hot Cors are a good bullet like all have said. Ive only used the 180gr FN version out of my 35 Rem Marlin. They've done excellent on deer and hogs. They've all exited.

I bought an Accumark at the beginning of the year in 257 Weatherby. I havent shot it a ton, but its been awesome so far. No issues.

The diameter and weight seem to indicate for the good ol' 45 ACP but would work in 450 Bushmaster and 45 Colt etc.

I haven't but I also haven't shot a ton of these. I've used some in my 7mm PRC and found a good sub-moa load at 100 yards that puts the hurt on deer. My bullets were factory seconds, but I didn't have any big groups or flyers. I might check some for the heck of it though. Specifics on your load...
